HELP! Hair dye disaster!?

I dyed my hair last night for the first time in a quite awhile. I had had highlights done at a salon awhile ago and was trying to get my hair as close to all one color again as possible. Well....my hair was dark blonde with light blonde highlights and I got a dark blonde golden hair dye. Now my hair is a dark reddish blonde with grayish/purplish highlights!!! It looks terrible and I don't know what to do. Can I go get another dye and try it again? Or will that screw it up even more? I don't even want to go out in public! I wish I wouldn't have messed with it at all now :(. Please HELP!

HELP! Hair dye disaster!?

i think when u want to change the existing color u have to go for a darker shade thats the rule you cannot go for a lighter shade. There should be a big difference in the two shades. In your case i am not sure which one was lighter and how much was the difference in shades. why dont you confirm it from some saloon and go for an altogether dark shade. i have also noticed immediately after highlighting or coloring the effect is stronger and it looks bad when you have goofed up but with time it fades out. This is my best guess as of what i know make sure u confirm. Dont worry it should not be a big problem

I think you should go to a good salon and have them work on it.

Sorry, but you need to go to a good salon and see what they can do to help. Applying another dye will only make it worse and might do permanent damage to your scalp and hair.

Good luck!

HELP! Hair dye disaster!?

that happened my cousin recently and i understand how self conscious your going to be feeling now but dont try and fix it yourself!!!it can only get worse!

you need to go to a reputable hair salon and have a stylist fix it for you and then you have to take real good care of your hair for at least a month,so no new dying and no straightening or heat curling.

hope it goes well for you!!!

:D

HELP! Hair dye disaster!?

your best bet is to get a dark brown or even medium brown to cover the mess up. Try to find one such as Herbal essence or the Garnia(lol can't remember exact name) but the one with avacado seed oil, and use it as directed. Those come with really good after color conditioners that will keep the highlighted parts moisturized. Make sure though, you don't use any color that Says "Ash". You will get the grey/purplish coloring even especially after a week or so. Try that, i'm sure it will fix your issue. And just think, its fall so darker colors are coming in :-)

Also be careful with straightners after fixing the color job. The bleached hair is still fragile and may break off even though its colored.

HELP! Hair dye disaster!?

Go to a salon they will fix it right with doing less damage then what you are going to do to it! Plus you'll love the results! Good luck! Anything you do yourself is only going to make it worse unless you go darker. I worked at a Salon for 3 years and we saw lots of people who tried to fix it themselves and it was a mess!
