Hair dye burns when I use it.?

The last few times I've used Natural Instincts hair dye, my scalp burned so I rinsed it out. Does anyone know of a good hair dye that has fewer chemicals? I can't afford to have this done at a salon right now. I just need to get rid of some gray. I have brown hair. Thanks!

I've used Natural Instincts before and it burned my scalp too. I use Revlon and it doesn't burn and it works really well.

you're not actually supposed to put the dye on your scalp. read the directions. They specifically tell you not to get the dye on your scalp... and how not to do it. Get someone to help you with it.

Try using a semi permanent color its a lot less harsh on your hair and scalp.

Make sure you are not washing your hair close to when your are applying color. If you brush your hair make sure you don't get your scalp too much. you don't want to stimulate your scalp before color. Also, you can try putting a packet of sweet and low or equal into the color. Its supposed to take the sting out and not hurt the color.

Hi there i had that trouble with a few, i went to boots and read all of the packets and pciked boots own make, i have to say the best one ever didnt even feel it was on its around 鎷?.99 a pack and was really good. Its made from natural things so hardly any chemicals are used! Its in a green packet with the colour hair running through. If your going to try it let me know and ill find the name for you!
