Id like to dye my hair black?

i have medium dark brown hair thats shoulder length, its naturally wavy/curly. i heard that dying your hair can ruin your natural hair type?

id like to dye it all black, as i find it look shiny and well kept when dyed dark.

im olived skin, so i dont think it will make me look pale?

can you suggest a semi permanet hair dye ?

will this ruin my hair

I would advise that you don't use a black dye but a nearly black dye. Or how about a rich shade of deep auburn?

Most hair dye can make your hair dry. Avoid permanent colour.

If you hair is a good dark brown, why dye it? There's plenty of time for that when it starts to go grey (though of course grey hair can also look great)

If you use a henna hair colour you will enhance the condition.

Jet black rarely looks natural on anyone even if your hair is naturally dark. You should just go with the darkest shade of brown that you can find. Also make sure you check the dates on the bottles of dye before you use them. I got some dye that was expired and it turned my hair green. I had to have it stripped and cut up to my shoulders. Semi-permanent dyes will wash out very fast and look faded after several washings.

i'd go to a good salon. I personally don't trust myself with chemicals and they're trained in that field.

so they'll be able to answer any of your questions and give you a good rinse of black that will fade over time and not ruin your hair.

Semi permanent dye is good if you don't want to worry about consatantly dyeing your hair cause it fades eventually, but it might fade too quickly. I think that you should start with semi permanent cause if you don't like it you don;t need to worry too much

well dying ur hair does damage it sometimes it makes it very frizzy and stringy and most of the time it doesnt matter what color but if ur determined garnier has a good line of hair dyes with many different shades of the same color. and as for the paleness you wont look pale at all most olive skinned ppl have dark hair anyways. hope i helped . good luck

it doesnt matter where you get your hair done, in the salon or doing it yourself, it all ruins your hair in the end, i have the name hair colour as you and my hair looks nice dyed and more nurished died, but it has messed my hair up. also i have found some hair colour you buy in the shop doesnt last as long as it does when you get it done in the salon.

I suppose over exposing your hair to dyes could cause damage but not ruin it. Just read the boxes @ the store but the fruitese brand has plant extracts that aren't as damaging to the hair follicle. And please look @ all the shades of black as to not get it super black that looks so bad on people be sure %26amp; follow instructions to the T

Get a semi-permanent black hair color...This is what will make it shiny and keep it healthy. Even though it is "semi-perm," black won't fade that much.

Your hair sounds like mine, and I dyed it from dark brown to blueblack using Loreal Feria in 21 Starry Night. I'd recommend 20 Blackest Black, i'm gonna use it when mine fades out.
