Temporary Hair Dye for a Day?

So I have black hair right now...Im interested in dyeing it a brown kind of color, but Im worried it may look hideous. Is there some kind dye that I can find that will allow me to make like all of my hair brown and wash out later on?

Temporary Hair Dye for a Day?

Temporary hair dye lasts at least a few days which is 4 to 6 washes ... Dark hair doesn't take to light colors like light does to dark. You might want try a colored hair gel and use your bangs as a reference. The hair gel is washable without leaving color left over (I used blue once just for fun and it washed clean) when it's gone. Salons sell the gel and can even put it in for you if you want to check it out.

Temporary Hair Dye for a Day?

SPRAY ON!!!!!

Temporary Hair Dye for a Day?

Stores that sell temporary hair color:

walgreens

sallys

hot topic

or any beauty stores. Espcially around Halloween drug stores sell them cheap like 2 bucks. But now you can probably get them around 3-6 dollars :)

Red Hair Dye on Sofa?

I stupidly got red hair dye on my sisters sofa and I need to remove it before she sees it and kills me.

The sofa is tan microfibre and the hair dye is Feria by Loreal

Please Help!!!

Red Hair Dye on Sofa?

Oh god ! Sucks to be you don't it !

I read somewhere that vinegar dampend with water gets rid of stains?

Red Hair Dye on Sofa?

it is something that you will have to suffer for.

Red Hair Dye on Sofa?

If its on the cushion, just flip if over. If its not on a cushion, get some oxyclean. In the meantime, hide it with some kind of decoration like a blanket.

Temporary Hair Dye for a Natural Red Head?

I want to dye my hair brown for a costume, but I'm afraid what it will do to my hair. You see, I have naturally red hair and I don't want anything to happen to it, plus I only want the brown hair for a day or so, so I would want one that washes out pretty quickly. Any advice?

Temporary Hair Dye for a Natural Red Head?

Usually around Halloween you can find spray-on hair color. You can spray your hair brown and it will come out completely the next time you wash it. Check seasonal costume shops or even beauty supply stores.

Is permanent hair dye suppose to wash out a little the first time?

my aunt is a professional hair stylist and she put on blue black hair dye. (well that isn't showing at all cause my hair is black. bummer since she ordered it and did it free for me) anyway, she didn't do the whole bleach hair first and then apply so it just went over my normal black hair. anyway i jumped in the shower the following day and kinda freaked when i saw all the color coming out in the water. is this suppose to happen?

Is permanent hair dye suppose to wash out a little the first time?

Yes, hair dye will wash out for a couple of days. You just didn't get the excess dye out when you washed it the first time. It is hard for a color to take to black. Better luck next time.

Is permanent hair dye suppose to wash out a little the first time?

not sure

Is permanent hair dye suppose to wash out a little the first time?

yeah its normal its just the excess coming out and you dont need to bleach your hair first when your in the sun the blue should shine

dont stress out over it

Is permanent hair dye suppose to wash out a little the first time?

It's totally normal for a little bit of the dye to come out of your hair the first time (or maybe even a few times) after you wash it. Even though she washed your hair most likely after the dye set, there is still some left over that didn't soak into the hair that will come out. It's a good idea to buy a shampoo that is specially formulated for color treated hair----it helps to prevent pre-mature fading. Hope this helps!! :)

Is permanent hair dye suppose to wash out a little the first time?

Permanent hair color only grows out as your hair grows. The key word....".permanent" ! What part of permanent don't you understand ? You do not bleach to darken only to lighten.

Is permanent hair dye suppose to wash out a little the first time?

Yes, i also experience the same thing. i love to dye my hair which kinda weird to see when my hairs back to normal again (black). it depends on the condition of your hair, the brand of the product and also the colour. Red will easily come out.

Is permanent hair dye suppose to wash out a little the first time?

You shouldn't wash your hair for at least 24 hours after coloring your hair. 48 hours is even better and is highly recommended. Some of the color coming out the first couple of washes, though, is normal.

I need help keeping dye in my hair?

ok, so, last summer I dyed half my hair blue, and it looked great, but faded fast cause i didn't bleach properly, and once i ran out of dye, i dyed it back to normal with Garnier golden honey brown i think, and it matched perfectly, but faded to blonde very fast. Now im planing to dye my hair either very dark brown, or black. My question is what brand of permanent hair dye (from a box) will last longest, and what shampoo %26amp; stuff can i use to keep the color in?

I need help keeping dye in my hair?

use biolage colorthearapie as a shampoo and conditioner.. it helps prevent color from fading

I need help keeping dye in my hair?

i prefer loreal hair color, but get the most expensive package, i forgot the name but my sister had wonderful results and use pantene expressions to keep your color in

I need help keeping dye in my hair?

When I used boxed hair dye, I'd get Herbal Essences, because it usually [if not always] became the exact color on the box. For shampoos, I'd go with Pantene Pro-V, I believe they have the color treated shampoo and conditioner.

If you also have a Sally Beauty Supply in your area, go there to get color treatments and stuff, it'll help keep your hair soft, and usually the girls there can help you find something to help keep the color radiant.

I need help keeping dye in my hair?

Go to a beauty supply or hair salon and get shampoo formulated especially for color treated hair. but keep in mind, if you wash your hair every day it will fade faster than if you wash it every other day.

Since it sounds like you have lightened your hair and added color to it, it will fade that much faster. When you lighten your hair, the hair is much more porous and therefore the color will fade faster. It would be best if you avoided washing your hair everyday.

Most of your store bought colors will not last as long as color that you would have done in a salon since the peroxide that comes with the store bought color is usually not of the same strength that you would get in the salon. You can go to a beauty supply. However, many beauty supply's require you to be licensed. Although, you may try a Sally Beauty Supply if there is one in your area. They are not usually very diligent about checking licenses.

Good Luck.

Remove hair dye from fabric?

Hi, I know this question has been asked before but I'm hoping for a new and feasible answer from someone who might know...PLEASE...how do I get brown hair dye out of my brand new expensive fabric shower curtain?? I just moved and bought matching shower and window curtains, so proud of them, and I splashed my hair dye on it yeserday without realizing it!!! It's dried and now I saw it today, and I have to get it out! It's simply awful. Please give me some realistic answers that will work!! Thank you so much.

Remove hair dye from fabric?

Clorox toilet bowl cleaner cautiously dribbled exactly on the spot is what I use when I get color on my clothes at work. It needs to be rinsed off right away. Reapply if needed but don't let is set there for more than a few seconds or it will ruin the item and you'll have a new tie died curtain.

And yes it really works....you just have to be real careful not to take out the color from the item.

Remove hair dye from fabric?

That is a tough one, I too have stained many a things coloring my hair. Well depending on the color fabric and texture...trying using SHOUT or Spray and Wash or OXY.

Hope it helps.

White Hair Dye?

Does anybody know where I can purchase white hair dye and/or which brand does it (eg. Loreal etc..) I would usually use Schwarzkopf hair dyes because they always give me the disered look but they dont do white :(. anybody know which UK store i could find it in? (eg. Boots or a Pharmacy?)

White Hair Dye?

There is no WHITE HAIR DYE...I mean you can buy that wash out spray that just leaves a coating of white on your, but it'll wash out as soon as you shower.

If you want white white hair you're going to have to bleach it. And bleaching hair that much is very damaging. It's off the charts and it will cause breakage on the hair.

But if you really want it then that's what you are going to have to do.

good luck with everything bro = )

White Hair Dye?

You don't keep bleaching it, you bleach it to yellow and then cancel out the yellow with violet toner to create the white. Report It

White Hair Dye?

yeah that sounds sexy im a girl

White Hair Dye?

People get white hair by bleaching it past anything the manufacturer would recommend. I used to work at Clairol, and the two stages we'd recommend was yellow like the outside of a banana, or pale yellow, like the inside. (Which you went for depended on which toner you were planning to put on top of the hair to get a more natural shade. If you don't want a natural shade, that's a whole other thing.) I suspect even those shades were pretty hard on the hair, and white would pretty much weaken the hair strands by taking out all the pigment. If you go ahead, don't do any other process on your hair (straightening or curling via chemicals) or you'll probably fry your hair. If you want to go darker again, don't just pop a darker dye over your hair as is, or you'll get a color not found in nature. (And not a good one.) Call the toll-free consumer hotline of the brand you use, if there is one. You might want to call a hotline before you bleach to white, but they might advise you not to.

Good luck!

White Hair Dye?

White huh? Well, you can't actually dye your hair white. You can only bleach it out so much it turns white. As for bleaching your hair white I would have a professional do it or else it might turn a nasty yellow or your hair might even fall out.

White Hair Dye?

As others have said, you will definately have to bleach your hair and then add a tint if that is what you prefer.

It is harder to bleach red hair than dark hair and dark hair should be bleached in stages to avoid damaging the hair as much as possible. Dark hair goes through stages with repeated bleaching. Black hair initially becomes red, then orange followed by yellow and finally white.

Bleached hair has a yellow tinge to it because of the natural structure of hair, which is mainly a-keratin which is naturally a pale yellow.

The more frequently bleach is applied, the drier hair becomes, moisturising hair after bleaching is a must.

That is the technical bit. It depends a lot on the effect you are looking for in your hair, whether a color tint would be better, or leaving your hair stripped provides the effect you are after.

The darkness of your hair will dictate the strength of solution you need to strip your hair back to white.

White Hair Dye?

Hey man i am bleaching my hair coz i also want white hair, im black and obvcourse have black hair, im on my 6th bleach and hair is still on my scalp lol, its a very yellow pale color at the mo and some of the hair is looking quite white. i think ill need about 2/3 more bleaches then ill be able to tone it white.

but to answer your question what you have to do is get any bleach prolly about 30vol will be okay. bleach your hair and wait about 2-3 days be4 u bleach it again. during those 2-3 days u will need to condition you hair like twice a day to keep you hair strong.

Im using Aussie 3minute miracle and it works pretty good, the conditioner in the bleaching kit seem to work pretty good as well.

Once you get to the stage where you hair looks like a rly rly rly pale yellow colour i mean REALLY pale yellow you can use a white toner, i have bought Manic Panic virgin snow toner and it seems to work for other people. this shop sells it

http://punkrockshop.co.uk/

hopefully the toner will work. Ill post another comment by wed i think should have it white ( i hope ) bye then.

You also need a cap/hat or alot of balls, coz if you hair is black the 1st bleach will make it a horrible ginger color, dont be frightened by that it will get more lighter and yellowy with each bleach, so if your the kinda person who does not like people making fun at you, wear a hat when you are out and about.

Oh yeah always do the strand test and all that **** to make sure you are not allegic to the hair dye.

Best hair dye in a box?

my hair is a naturally a really ugly orange-ish yellow-ish blonde with darkish golden brown underneath and i want to dye it dark brown. so can someone tell me a little about hair dye from the box and what the best brand is?

Best hair dye in a box?

IF YOU WANT TO GET RID OF THE ORANGE, USE AN ASH BASED BROWN. CLAIROL HYDRIENCE IS AN EXCELLENT HAIR DYE. IT MOISTURIZES AND DOESN'T LEAVE YOUR HAIR FEELING LIKE STRAW AS SOME OF THE OTHER HAIR PRODUCTS DO ESPECIALLY IF YOUR HAIR IS NORMAL TO DRY. JUST FOLLOW ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER AND IT SHOULD TURN OUT FINE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PRODUCT, CLAIROL HAS A NUMBER YOU CAN CALL TO TALK TO A PROFESSIONAL ABOUT ANY CONCERNS YOU MIGHT HAVE.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Back in high school this girl mixed Kool-Aide and Shampoo to dye her hair. It came out really good (it lasted 2 months). I just want to know if it is safe, can it damage your hair? Is there certain time between dyes that you should wait like with other hair dyes?

Curious.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Actually Kool-aid is a stain rather than a chemical. You can put it in as often as you like, it all depends on how vibrant you want your color.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Well it was in Cosmo this month, so I would assume its safe, it stains the counters really good *lol* and your hands.

If you have light hair, go for it, but dont expect purple to show up in brown hair.

Good luck!

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Considering people drink the stuff, I don't think it will be any more harmful than ingesting it. The way I see it, the products we use to color our hair has chemicals in it that do damage hair for the most part. We also can't drink it, much less the smell of it.

Personally, I'd think the koolaide would be much safer.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

I would try Kool-Aid and conditioner, so your deep-conditioning your hair, just to be safe! I dont think it could harm though

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Well you can always smell Kool aid. i do not think that t is a good thing to do because it might not work out on your hair too good.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Kool-aid works! it really does you might not trust it but it really does work!it wont damage your hair just dont keep it in for too long...

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

strawberry shortcake huckle berry fin. I used it once i still have the best hair in town.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

well i dont see a problem with it but what flavor do u use fruit punch ? im seriose

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

I don't think it is harmful to your hair. Just be sure to wear gloves, and put some lotion on your hairline, ears, etc to keep them from staining. I knew this girl who dyed her hair with kool-aide. Along with her hair, her hands, forehead, and ears were dyed as well!!! Also, you need to have light colored hair for this to turn out. Good luck!

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

omg that'sz soo kool but doesn't kool-aid only have like green purple blue red orange? that must of been one extravagant hair do that girl had!

Why wont my hair dye ??

i dyed my hair 4months ago wit clairol balsam hair color and it was the blackest black they had and well today i tried to dye it a light brown (using the same hair color company) and it wouldnt die it stayed black and the only thing that dyed was the roots and i look stupid with my roots light redish brown and the rest black what did i do wrong if i followed the directions ... ????

Why wont my hair dye ??

Dye will NOT lighten your hair color! You must strip the color out of your hair and then re-dye it.

You will either have to go to the salon and have them fix it for you or just wait until it grows out (which will probably take a year or two).

Stop trying to dye it... the more dye you add to your hair, the harder the color will be to strip out.

I suggest going to a reliable salon asap and asking for a consultation for corrective coloring. Ask about the price, what condition you expect your hair to be in after the treatment, and what you can do to keep your hair healthy in the future.

Why wont my hair dye ??

Well, you hold the direrctions, unless you pay some one to do it, you have to read the back of the dye box sister

Why wont my hair dye ??

maybe your the black is too strong to dye a lighter color

Why wont my hair dye ??

well its really hard to COLOR not dye u dye a egg you color your hair anyways its really hard to take hair color from a black to a red it really dont work. u need to get it prof. done if u did it black they might pending on ur natural hair color they might have to strip the color out which is really bad for hair well good luck

Why wont my hair dye ??

i did this years ago with the same clairol balsam and it took over 2 years for it to grow out.I was a blonde and dyed it the darkest black. you can either wait til it grows out or talk to a hairdresser and ask them what the safest thing for your hair would be dying it too many times too close together can ruin your hair. so ask a professional. Ive done this and I regretted it. it eventually grew out and went back to my normal hair color but it was a shade darker, seems the more you dye youre hair the darker it gets.

Why wont my hair dye ??

color won't remove darker color you need to remove dark color first and removers can be veryyyyy damaging. i strongly recommend you go to a salon to get this done, these are the kinds of things they went to school for. hope this helped

Pink hair dye ?

i am going to dye part of my hair pink (like small streaks underneath the layers) and i was wondering where you can get it from ... i live in the UK

also my hair colour is mid brown at the moment and i was planning to dye it darker ... do you think it would look good with blonde and pink streaks in it ?

Pink hair dye ?

Before I had my bob done I had waist-length (permanent-died) brown hair. I used a really good hot pink hair dye which I got in superdrugs. It was 'demi-permanent' but unfortunately I've forgotten what brand it was- but it's the only pink one that superdrugs sell. Odly only one out of the four superdrugs in the towns near me stocks it :|

Anyway it had the ability to be added to light hair without bleaching it and dark hair- with bleaching it. It worked really well, so my advice is- check out superdrugs =)

And yes, blonde and pink would look good- if placed correctly and providing the blonde isn't yellow.

Best of luck, Princess Lola x

Pink hair dye ?

you get only get those cool colours done at the salon.. they don't have any at-home products for pink. And first, they bleach your hair so that the pink will show up, so it damages your hair A LOT. I suggest you get hair extensions again... you can either get the ones they clip on OR glue.. they look better too!

Pink hair dye ?

cute! I would first bleach it before you dye it pink. but check some salons first i know here (US) they have strands of hair you can clip in, salons only, they teach you everything and they are only like 10 bucks, or whatever, for a strand. They have every color in the rainbow.

They look great, i have dark brown ones in my blonde hair.

Pink hair dye ?

you should go to www.hottopic.com. They have every color of hair dye including pink and they also have bleach kits if you want it to be brighter. Pink is one of those colors that will work with most hair colors. With blonde hair the only worry would be that it would look kinda barbie, but with a good cut it could look fabulous!

Pink hair dye ?

hotpink and light blond is nice you are the 2 persons queston cus i sighned up tonight im 10 and a half and i need points and go for it its cute.

Pink hair dye ?

I dyed my entire hair pink a couple of years ago. I tried two different dyes, the first one, manic panic, didn't take well. It wouldn't dye my roots for some reason. The second dye, Special Effects, worked AMAZINGLY!!! I definitely suggest it to anyone who doesn't want the ugly fade out. It's semi-perm but it stayed in my hair for 6 months before I had to dye my hair back to blonde to get it out. And when it did fade, like all dyes, it faded to a nice lighter pink.

Right after I dyed it: http://photos-953.ll.facebook.com/photos...

A few months after: http://photos-c.ak.facebook.com/photos-a...

It's a horrible picture but it shows the color well.

Dye it a shade or two darker than you want because it will lighten a bit after a week or two. Also, it bleeds out in the shower, not on your clothes. So your shower might look a little pinkish for a while.

I think blonde and pink streaks look really good with black or dark brown hair, especially if it's the layer underneath.

Here are some links:

Special Effects page w/ color info (UK site): http://www.specialeffectshairdye.co.uk/s...

They also have tips and info if you need it on how to use the dye. Very useful. Since I'm naturally blonde, I don't know if you'll need to bleach it but my guess is yes.

I have a hair dye disaster!!!!!!!!!?

i dyed my hair black with this semi permanent stuff and its been months and it hasnt come out. it was supposed to come out in like 30 washes!!! i really really want it out. my fair skin just doesnt work with it. i wanna dye my hair light brown really really badly but when i went to the salon they said it would cause too much damage to remove the color and then dye over it should i just try using a really light color dye from the drugstore over it?

I have a hair dye disaster!!!!!!!!!?

Noo. it wont work. i tried it except i dyed my hair a very dark brown. I tried doing that and it made a very weird color... almost purple. i hated it. so please dont do it.

I have a hair dye disaster!!!!!!!!!?

I know what you meanit seems the dark color likes to hang on the lower portion of the hair or mid way. i dye lighter colors over dark all the time..good luck

I have a hair dye disaster!!!!!!!!!?

NO! it won't work, save money, and go and get your hair stripped from the color. don't Straighten or curl or do anything with your hair to try to keep it from killing it. then dye it the color you want to.

I have a hair dye disaster!!!!!!!!!?

No you are going to have to wait until it comes out and then go back to the hairdressers. I so feel for you as I've been there too but its not going to last forever.

I have a hair dye disaster!!!!!!!!!?

You're so lucky that it's only semi permanent!

The only way to get it out is to scrub the crap out of it with a harsh shampoo (a dandruff shampoo should do the trick). Scrub really hard, but remember to condition it. Conditioning your hair is so important, especially since you're about to do something like that.

Also, now I wouldn't do this, but I heard that you can put baking soda or laundry/dish detergent in your hair. These nasty chemicals will strip the colour out. I wouldn't do it, but, if you want to, then go right ahead.

Also, you can go outside and sit in the sun! Pull out a good book, put on sun block, and just let the sun do its job.

DO NOT put SunIn in your hair; it will turn ORANGE. My friend did that once and it turned to this horrible pumpkin orange colour.

Good luck...hair dye no no's suck, but it will eventually come out.

I have a hair dye disaster!!!!!!!!!?

Once go go black you can't go back. You have to let it grow out.

Temporary Hair Dye? I have strawberry Blonde hair, I am taking a trip to France, so I may dye it. I

e My hair color and I really DON"T want to mess it up Will the dye ruin it?

Temporary Hair Dye? I have strawberry Blonde hair, I am taking a trip to France, so I may dye it. I really Lov

If you have blonde hair, even temporary hair dye may stain your hair permanently. Blonde hair holds color alot better than any other color hair. Most temporary hair dye washes out after so many shampoos, and it can and will stain towels and pillow cases. If you have temporary hair color on your hair and go outside while it is raining, the hair dye will run onto your clothes and stain them too. I do not reccoment temporary hair color especially for blondes.

Temporary Hair Dye? I have strawberry Blonde hair, I am taking a trip to France, so I may dye it. I really Lov

highlights would be the best suggestion. what looks really cute is dark red, blonde, and brown highlights.HAVE FUN IN FRANCE!!!!

Temporary Hair Dye? I have strawberry Blonde hair, I am taking a trip to France, so I may dye it. I really Lov

As long as you don't go lighter, which would be bleaching it), it'll eventually fade out, probably 4-6 weeks.

Have a great trip!

Temporary Hair Dye? I have strawberry Blonde hair, I am taking a trip to France, so I may dye it. I really Lov

You realize you will have to let it grow out if you use permanent dye right? If it is a temporary dye on blonde hair it may not wash out.

Temporary Hair Dye? I have strawberry Blonde hair, I am taking a trip to France, so I may dye it. I really Lov

Your hair might loose its intensity and shine if you dye it

DONT DYE YOUR HAIR I TRIED TO DYE MINE RED AND IT TURNED BRIGHT PURPLE THEN GRAY. I EVEN HAD THE SAME HAIR COLOUR AS YOU, DON;T DYE IT YOU'LL MESS IT UP, YOUR HAIR WILL NEVER EVER TURN THE SAME COLOUR AGAIN IF YOU DYE IT. I REGRET I DYED MY HAIR I HAD THE SAME COLOUR AS YOU. HAVE FUN AT FRANCE! WISH I WAS THERE. oops caps too lazy to rewrite it lol

If you love your haircolour, why bother dying your hair? If you want to experiment with colour, just consider highlights, hairpieces and wigs. Enjoy France.

Temporary Hair Dye? I have strawberry Blonde hair, I am taking a trip to France, so I may dye it. I really Lov

The only person that will enjoy the change is you, family, and close friends, not the French. The French will love your strawberry blonde hair. The last thing you want to worry about is your hair color when traveling. I'd wait until you return from France.

I wouldn't rely on over the counter hair dyes (permanent or temporary) to make you happy. I would go to a salon and get your hair done right the first time. Temporary colors need to be applied weekly and that's with minimal washing.

Temporary Hair Dye? I have strawberry Blonde hair, I am taking a trip to France, so I may dye it. I really Lov

use temp hair dye if u aren't postive u want this new look for a long time. Also use it a month before ur trip so if u hate it u have a lot of time to wash ur hair (fade the color) and re-dye it. There are strawberry blonde kits in both permante and temporary.

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

I can't figure out what color to dye my hair!I have a little below shoulder length hair, pale skin, and med-dark blue eyes. Right npw my hair is mostly blond but I have bad water and my hair is reddish-blond. I was thinking off dying it light brown? I really don't know what to do!

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

medium deep brown

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

Brown or brunette.. dark colored hair will accent your blue eyes more.

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

Light brown is a good color for almost everyone. You might also try a red tone. I find that a color between red and brown is quite nice because the color can seem to be different based on your outfit. I don't dye my hair, but it is naturally brown and red.

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

you could go for light brown or if you want to keep your color you can actually get rid of the problems the water is causing you by using a clarifying shampoo about once a week. they also make special shampoos and conditioners for blonds. (all though i don't recommend pantene) you can go for certain shades of reds also. or auburn.

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

light brown would look really nice.

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

I would go with the light brown.Just make sure you buy a color corrector so if it doesn't turn out the way you wanted it then you can change it back.

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

light brown would be pretty. Don't go too dark, it will give you a hard look. Maybe blonde low-lites too would look good with the blue eyes.

to be safe, look at your childhood pictures. Going with the

color you were born with will work.

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

I would do a light brown. But, try using a dye with natural highlighting built in, otherwise you'll end up with one color. Which tends to be boring. If you can't find one with the highlighting in it, try light brown and maybe some caramel streaks. Having more than one color always looks better.

I hope I helped. Let me know if you need help with anything else.

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

If your skin is cool-toned, I would go with a darker shade of brown. If your skin is warm/gold-toned, I would go with a soft honey brown to play up your skintone. As for your water, if you want to make an investment, get the Jonathan Product Beauty Water filter system. You can get it at Sephora. It's amazing, and your skin will be noticeably softer also!

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

that sucks about the water in your area....i think maybe the lightest possible brown. did you check at a place like Trade Secrets at the mall to see if they have a product you could use so that you don't have to color it?

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

It depends on your skin tone...olive?, pinkish? If you are dying it yourself and want a light brown colour always use a dark blonde, I've found that light brown always goes med brown. Clairol Natural Instincts is always a great choice because if it's too dark at first it will fade. Even though it's semi permanent I went from blonde to brown using this and it was an easier transition for me. Please ask your hair stylist or the cosmetician for the correct shade of brown for your skin tone!

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

Blond hair is always fading, so first off, you should buy Clairol Shimmer Lights purple shampoo (it will get rid of the brassiness and return the blond to the same color it was when first colored). Second, why don't you consider light brown lowlights? It's not as dramatic, and if you dislike them, you can always just get more blond highlights. That way, you won't damage your hair nearly as much as you would with an all over dye job, and you can still get the darkness more appropriate with winter. Luck!

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

if u have a lighter complexion i would definately dye it darker...

AHHH!Hair dye help!?

Well since you have light skin and blue eyes, darker hair colors will make your eyes stand out, Now I am a hair dresser and if your going to buy the do it your self kind here a few tips!

the difference between brown and ash brown!

anything with ash has the color green, which sounds wierd but if you dont want your new hair color to have tones of red in it, buy the dyes that say ash brown, ash blonde, etc!

good luck!

Whats a good hair dye that you can find at almost any store or beauty salon that comes in green?

Im going to dye my hair green and i need to buy some permanent or long lasting green hair dye.

Whats a good hair dye that you can find at almost any store or beauty salon that comes in green?

Look at the bottom shelfs of the hair dye section in drug stores.

Whats a good hair dye that you can find at almost any store or beauty salon that comes in green?

well i always go to Spencer's but it only lasts for a month. I don't know what to tell you. I say try different colors, dye your hair a different color every time.

How to dye hair naturally?

I have light brown hair, and i want to dye it red.

I don't want to use hair dye or anything like that, i want to do it with homemade stuff.

I heard lemon juice, food colouring + sugar works? I tried it and it just kinda went darker.

I want to dye it temporarily.

Thanks in advancee :D

Claudiaa

(P.S the colour i want it is. . http://image.com.com/tv/images/processed...

How to dye hair naturally?

just try a lemon juice only then sit under the sun at about 30 min then ull see the result i read it at the magazine

How to dye hair naturally?

Use hydrogen peroxide and stand out in the sun

How to dye hair naturally?

Beetroot mixed with red wine is supposed to be good!

How to dye hair naturally?

2 tablespoons of lemon juice in your hair every shower gives you natural highlights

How to dye hair naturally?

i've heard kool-aid works.

but i've also heard a ton of horror stories to go along with it.

but i bet if you look up instructions on how to do it %26amp; your really careful it could work out fine.

How to dye hair naturally?

Go to a drugstore or to a mall and buy henna natural hair dye. It's made from this herb henna which dyes hair without chemicals. You can get any shade you want, but henna has especially gorgeous red colors. Just consult a saleslady :)

How to dye hair naturally?

I totally recommend henna. it naturally conditions your hair and gives it a "non-chemical" shine. my hair is dyed with henna. i had brown hair, and it dark black now!

if you want the red i suggest you mix up:

100g BAQ henna (i didnt use this, but its what my friend used for her red hair)

25 g of paprika

15g turmeric

1cup of VERY strong chamomile tea (4 teabags steeped in 2 cups of water for a few hours)

1 cup of lemon juice

just slop it on ur hair and cover it up with saran wrap and lleave it on for few hours.

and NOT ALL MIXTURES WORK FOR EVRYONE. i suggest trying the henna on the waste strands of hair on ur hairbrush xD

GOOD LUCK

Allergic to hair dye now what??

I ve been dying my hair black now for the last 8 years and in the last 2 years I keep getting an allergic reaction everytime I do dye it. How can I still dye my hair but not let the dye touch my scalp???

Allergic to hair dye now what??

The same thing happened to my Aunty. She had to stop dying her hair which sucks. I'm worried that the same thing might happen to me. Maybe have an allergy test or something to determine what chemical you could be allergic to. Then try and find a dye that doesn't have that certain chemical in it. I'd suggest you try organic hair dye. I've seen it around here occasionally, maybe you might be able to give it a go.

Did you feel any tingling or burning sensations when you previously dyed your hair?

Good luck, I wish you the best.

Allergic to hair dye now what??

dont die it. accept it, move on. you look great anyways

Allergic to hair dye now what??

I would call the 800 number that is on the directions of the hair dye. They should be able to tell you the best thing to do. Maybe you can try a different brand. They have different chemicals in them. I know you can use vaseline at the hair line, but i dont know how you would get it over your entire scalp. Good luck.

Allergic to hair dye now what??

Try switching to a different hair dye. You might be reacting to something in that specific dye, so try a few. If you get the same reaction from all of them than you have two choices. Live with the reaction or stop dying your hair. I don't think there would be any way to prevent the dye from touching your scalp.

Allergic to hair dye now what??

You can't, not and get a good dye job.

You have to either try a different dye, or stop dying your hair.

Liqhteninq Hair Dye ??

i Have liqht Brown hair Dye %26amp; i wanna Make it Liqhter. Do you Think if i put peroxyde in the tube of hair dye it would liqhten it ??

Liqhteninq Hair Dye ??

No all it would do is damage your hair big time. What you should do is die your hair then go out and get highlights that should cover your whole head then your hair will be lighter

Liqhteninq Hair Dye ??

No way. Thats a horrible idea. Just get different dye- there is no way to know what doing that would do to your hair. You can't mix chemicals like that!

Liqhteninq Hair Dye ??

don't dye your hair, get blonde highlights. it would looks good

What are some good tips to helping hair dye last longer?

I am going to be dying my regular brown hair, black brown and I need some help. I have dyed my hair in the past but with a dye that cost about 10 dollars and it still did not last very long even though it was expensive. Recently, I bought Revlon ColorSilk Black Brown ($3) and I want the best tips that will help me to keep my hair black brown for the longest period of time and I want it to look shiny and look good(not greasy like I haven't washed it in days). Here are some things that I did in the past when my hair was dyed, I washed my hair everything with shampoo and conditioner, and I used the after color conditioner weekly like they told me to do. But if I want it to last, how often do I wash my hair? Should I buy a hair dye special conditioner and use it daily? I need answers like that, stuff that will keep it colored longer. Thanks for your answers in advance!!

What are some good tips to helping hair dye last longer?

If you use permanent dye, the colour should stay in your hair permanently but will grow out from the roots. You can't stop it from growing out from the roots and will have to keep retouching the roots.

To keep the rest of the colour looking good, you can use special shampoo and conditioner for colour treated hair, but you will have to keep touching up the roots. You should wash your hair as often as you need to depending on what type of hair you have (if it's oily, you may have to wash it every day)..

What are some good tips to helping hair dye last longer?

use permanent dye and shampoo for colored hair

What are some good tips to helping hair dye last longer?

shampooing causes hair dye to fade, especially in the days right after coloring.. don't shampoo for at least 1-2 days after you color it and then only shampoo every other day.. you can rinse your hair in the shower on the nonshampoo days and use a little conditioner if your hair is normal to dry..

and clarifying shampoo strips your hair of its natural oils so don't use that kind unless you have oily hair..

God Bless.

Pink hair dye questions?

Highlights highlights highlights. From roots to ends. Make sure more if your natural hair color is showing than the pink though.

Pink hair dye questions?

My friend had pink temporary highlights over the summer. Just streaks here and there, but it looked good on her.

But after the dye faded her hair was blonde in the places where the dye had been, so if you have dark hair that could possibly happen to you, too.

Pink hair dye questions?

highlights would look good.

Good colors to try: dirty blonde dark blue or kinda a carmel misxed with light light red -- i kno--CRAZY!!

Magic Panic Dye Hard Temporary Hair color and styling gel ?

i want to temporary dye my bangs purple and the dye says it holds and hardens the hair,i dont want it to hanrden my hair or whats a good temporary hair dye like a spray or somthing ?

Magic Panic Dye Hard Temporary Hair color and styling gel ?

it sucks, it totally stinks, i have a tube of the blue one, but it takes like a walnut size of it on a hair strand to make it look kinda blue.....and it feels and smells like if you took finger paint and put it in your hair, stiff and xtra dry..... the next wash it's all gone (thankfully), but everytime i barely touched my hair, my fingers got blue again, try it if u wanna, but it's definitely not good

Magic Panic Dye Hard Temporary Hair color and styling gel ?

KOOLAID!!!!!

Magic Panic Dye Hard Temporary Hair color and styling gel ?

purple hair dye

Magic Panic Dye Hard Temporary Hair color and styling gel ?

the guy who said kool - aid is right, i did it with out bleaching my hair, and it gave me a blue ish tint (cause i used blue kool aid) if you have dark hair, you might want to bleach it, if not, get purple kool aid, and mix it with conditioner until its pastey, and apply to your hair. It works (well, for me).

Magic Panic Dye Hard Temporary Hair color and styling gel ?

Manic Panic does not harden your hair, I used it for my blue and purple which you can see in this picture: http://a606.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/ima... . Manic Panic is the best funky color hair dye I've used, and Im a freelance hairstylist so I've worked with many, but now I stick to Manic Panic. You may have to redye after a week and a half or so cause it will fade some since it is semi-permanent, but that is with any funky color hair dye.

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

ok... so this is a serious question...

im gonna dye my hair

currently it is a light brown/dirtyblonde color

i have pale skin

i was thinking of going for like a blonde and then underneath it a dark brown - i hope u know what i mean by this discription

but i am kinda girly and i was think that that hairstyle was a little - idk not girly - i want it to match my personality

anyhowz what do u think

what color should i dye my hair?

pls help me! this is serious!

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

Well if you have pale skin I would go for a deep chocolate brown,(Like Hilary Duff's or Lindsay Lohans when they decided to go brown) the blonde part would take away from your natural beauty. Plus, the dark brown will bring out the red in your cheeks because of your pale skin.

Good Luck.

But seriously go for the brown.

I have pale skin too, I totally know where your coming from!

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

No, it is quite preppy, but still very skanky. Lots of girls have hat hair and it looks really trashy. Honestly, either do the blonde all over, or do the brown all over.

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

i understand what your saying, i've seen others with that same hair, and it looks good you should go for it!

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

the two tone is kinda old kelly clarkson, and if you like curl it or whatever some highlights it would be girly enough, dont go too dark though, or too too light, or you will wash yourself out..and dont do a boxed dye..those things never turn out the way they show on the box..

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

you should do what you were saying or do like a light brown.

but try dirty blondeeee.

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

dark colors ae not good choices for people with pale skin. it only makes them look paler. i see many girls though with the darker undertone and lighter above but word from a stylist in florida it is not going to be in style by the time it finally starts growing out do one solid color lik the blonde then do lowlights ( brown / dark blonde) it will look much better.

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

I think you should just bleach your whole hair super blond. So you would need a bleaching kit, because regular dye wont work. The whole light on the top dark on the bottom is out. Hope I helped !

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

1. It is just hair, if you mess it up, it will grow back. Not anywhere close to what I would consider an emergency.

2. I would probably go with one color all over, if you are pale then blonde might be your best bet.

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

whoa ur description sound just like me so i no exactly what ur talking about i think u should dye it a mixture of colors. if u go to the salon, u can tell them u want light brown dark blonde and maybe even a little red mixed in. please dont do the blonde with brown underneath it is frankly trashy. adding all the colors together will make it girly and interesting to see the blend u have. good luck with ur hair!

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

i know a girl that has the exact hair color. blonde and brown underneath. she is also girly and it totally matches her personality

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

um no..

my cuzin has that and shes a prep

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

PKay my firend has this hair style. it looks nice. She usuall wears the blond part of her hair in a little bun in the back of her head so that you can see the black or brown or whatever color is on the bottom. She is kind of what you would call a punk but you could probably work it to be girly. : ) Good Luck.

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

If you want to change your hair to blonde, DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF. Unless you are a professional, you will turn your hair orange. Just go to the salon and ask to see the books. They have great ideas and colors/styles you can look at. Professional is the way to go if you want to look cute.

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

ok dont go to light with blond or tooo darkk with black youll look sick. but wat some girls at my school are dying underneather there hair black like it looks really good. so there like dying on top a certain color then on the bottem another color it looks really good

best of luck though

happy new years!

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

darker is nicer for the winter season in my opinion. Why not go a nice shade of chocolate brown like Cameron Diaz used to have. It could look awesome. You can always do the blonde under that too!

OMG! HAIR DYE EMERGENCY!pls help?

I think your hair would look adorable it will be kind of rockish but still adorable and your personality will fit with your hair you'll make it work when you get it don't worry about that besides you'll problaly put clips and curl it making it girly ones i a while. Good luck.

Concerning about hair dye.?

Concerning about hair dye and safety precautions, I dyed my hair April of this year very light blonde. I choose to color my hair Permanent Black, is it possible without any risks of Cancer or losing my hair? Thank you very much. If any comments, please add.

Concerning about hair dye.?

hair dye is not gonna give u any risk of cancer and also it shouldnt make ur hair fall out either ( =

Concerning about hair dye.?

well i die my hair all the time its ok

theres like a 1 out of 10 chance of that happenin

Concerning about hair dye.?

i doubt you will get cancer my friend did that and he looked cute.... ive never herd of getting cancer from it!!

Concerning about hair dye.?

no its perfectly fine the worst thing tht can happen is it can start to fall out if you bleach it too much. but now the new hair dyes have chemicals in them tht make hair healthier than before!

What blonde hair dye is safe for your hair and won't turn it "green"?

My hair is in the midst of changing from blonde to brown. The only blonde in my hair are the fake highlights, and they are slowly fading. I want to dye my hair with some blonde dye that is not too expensive and won't turn 'green' in chlorine, etc. I don't want platinum blonde, just something to lighten it up a bit.

Any ideas?

If I dye my hair with blonde hairdye for African Americans, would it work?

Like you know in stores like Target and Walmart, in the hair dye aisle you see blonde hair dye with African American women on the front of the boxes? And with those, you don't need to bleach your hair first. So I'm just wondering are they specifically for african american-textured hair, or would it be fine for caucasian people too?

If I dye my hair with blonde hairdye for African Americans, would it work?

They do that because we [blacks] use perms or relaxers and then want to dye our hair, or vice versa... the bleach will mess with the other chemicals with the perms and will make our hair fall off.

So its just with out bleach and not as harsh on already chemically treated hair.

It is ok for white people to use these hair dye kits.

It will not melt white peoples hair as the idiot above me seems to think.

If I dye my hair with blonde hairdye for African Americans, would it work?

What brand of hair dye is it? Depending on the brand, it may be specifically for African American hair.

If I dye my hair with blonde hairdye for African Americans, would it work?

u can use it 2! its perfectly fine!!! hair dye like that is not made 4 curtin hair unless it says it on the box!

If I dye my hair with blonde hairdye for African Americans, would it work?

they are specifically for African American-textured hair,

it will probably melt "white" hair...

If I dye my hair with blonde hairdye for African Americans, would it work?

I would not use that on your hair. There is a reason why there are different hair dye for whites and blacks. The hair is too different in texture and it could screw your hair up.

If I dye my hair with blonde hairdye for African Americans, would it work?

thats just the model, it's not specifically for african american hair...just good ole hair dye. you can use it and it should work just fine...but i suggest getting some bleach, beacuse even thoug it says you don't need to bleach it, unless you use bleach you will only go two shades lighter...check the box and see if it has bleach mixed in it, it prolly does or it would'nt work

If I dye my hair with blonde hairdye for African Americans, would it work?

It's usually made specifically for African American hair. There is hair dye made for Caucasians wanting to go lighter.

If I dye my hair with blonde hairdye for African Americans, would it work?

dont do it

If I dye my hair with blonde hairdye for African Americans, would it work?

Hair Dye Help. (read details)?

i have dark brown hair.

i was thinking about dying my bangs pink.

do you know any other colors that might look good with dark hair, and will actually turn out right?

(+ im going to use a spray in hair dye)

Hair Dye Help. (read details)?

blonde alwayz looks nice on dark hair mabey u can mix it...

Hair Dye Help. (read details)?

i think you should use the can spray. 1-its not permanent. 2-why pink??? 3-please do not do permanent it will make your hair fall out. Good Luck.

PLEASE read if you have any experience regarding HAIR DYE.?

i have my friend dye my hair because right now i'm kind of on a tight budget and all hair salons around here charge $100+ for hair color.

i usually stay in the same shades medium brown-reddish. my natural hair color is dark dark brown.

i dye my hair probably once every 4-6 weeks and lately i noticed the top of my hair ALWAYS ends up lighter than the bottom of my hair [which makes sense because the hair dye spends more time on that part of my hair] so i was wondering if there's any way to avoid this?

can i dye the top of my hair first, then do the top?

any thoughts would help! thanks!

PLEASE read if you have any experience regarding HAIR DYE.?

Start by putting the dye in at the ends and work your way up. Your roots will soak up the dye faster than the ends will. You can also put a heavy conditioner on any parts that you do not want dyed. That will prevent the dye from penetrating your hair.

PLEASE read if you have any experience regarding HAIR DYE.?

If you are continually dying your hair as often as you say...you should probably only be doing touch ups at the roots only, therefore you will not be damaging your ends. make sure you trim slightly after for healthier hair.

PLEASE read if you have any experience regarding HAIR DYE.?

if you do the foils and start at the top, half way down you can take out the top and wash out, and then pull the top back with a clip while you do the bottom half, that way its not in too long

Using a hair dye kit from the drugstore, what's wrong with it?

Well, I have dyed gold blonde hair, and I am wanting to dye it my natural color, which is an extreamly dark brown. I dont really have 120 dollars to pay for my hair at a salon, so could I buy a kit? Will it mess up my hair? Which kinds are best? Will it actually work and stay on? Will my blonde hair in anyway effect it? Thank you! :)

Using a hair dye kit from the drugstore, what's wrong with it?

Well so you know to start off you might want to use a semi-permanent color. I don't know how long your hair is, however tint does not lift tint. For these permanent colors to work, the peroxide, lifts then deposits the color. If you are blond, I would not use permanent color off the bat. I would start with a semi-permanent color.

Using a hair dye kit from the drugstore, what's wrong with it?

It should work, but make sure you wait about two weeks before dying your hair again (if you just dyed it). The only thing is....dark hair will cover the lighter hair, but it's actually better to strip the old color out first, becasue if you don't, the new color may not stick as much or stay on as long. You will probably eventually see your lighter shade come through, so you may have to dye it darker more often to keep it looking dark. Remember to give yourself a deep conditioning treatment after dying your hair.

Using a hair dye kit from the drugstore, what's wrong with it?

It most likely won't mess up your hair, and it won't matter if it's blonde. As long as you do it right, it should stay on for a long time. Sorry I don't know the names of the best brands, but most work good.

Using a hair dye kit from the drugstore, what's wrong with it?

it's cheap. it doesn't work. and just why would you even think about buying it from a drugstore? any questions?

GOOD LUCKK!!!!

Using a hair dye kit from the drugstore, what's wrong with it?

I have been in the same boat. I chose to use a semi-permanent hair color. I would color my hair about once a month until all the old color was completely gone (through haircuts). Then, ta dah! My hair was its natural color!

Using a hair dye kit from the drugstore, what's wrong with it?

i smell a hair appointment in your future...

Hair dye over salon dye?

i got my hair dyed brown at a salon like three or four weeks ago and its faded. do you think i could just get a box dye and use it to just touch it up? and if i do, which brand should i use?

Hair dye over salon dye?

That's one of the reasons hair-dying is tricky, and sometimes shouldn't have a large amount of money spent on it (for example, at a hair salon). Highlights are a different story. Did your stylist use a filler? That usually delays the fading, but it's still inevitable. I say use the dye from the store. Just don't do it too often or your hair will dry out. I like Garnier Fructis (color choices and results).

Hair dye over salon dye?

You could yes but it is never the same as a professional touch up....i have found that any of the major brands are the same.

COLOR SILK

Hair dye over salon dye?

The first difference is quality. The condition of your hair is not good after a store bought color. The second difference is that store bought colors are mass-produced in a factory, in a salon stylist personally mix your customized color every time you come in. This means that at store bought color can be slightly different each time you purchase it. Keep in mind that the manufacture does not tell you when they change their product.

In a salon , it takes years for a stylist to learn all there is to know about hair color both chemically and in color theory. A stylist must know how the colors works with the pigment of your hair, how not to turn it green, or damage it beyond repair. I don't think that salon dye lasts any longer then store-bought. A salon job just looks better because someone else applying the hair dye can cover all the areas better than doing it yourself. Get a store-bought dye and have a friend do it. Boyfriends and husbands can also be trained for this task! :D

I use Nice N Sleazy...(Nice N Easy) sometimes it's on sale and it's very inexpensive.

Hair dye over salon dye?

First, you only "dye" clothing (using Rit, for example.) When you use permanent coloring on your hair, you are TINTING it. The chemicals are different, thus the different description of the work.

Second, to tint your hair at home is risky. The retail store products are different chemicals from the professional salon chemicals. So you cannot expect the same results.

Third, all hair colorings will fade by the fourth week on the hair. If you look at your scalp, you will see that, by now, some of your own natural color has grown out. This is the longest period of time you can wait to "retouch" the new growth. If you wait longer to color the new growth, you will get definate bands of color -giving you a strange, unnatural banding, if you continue to do that.

I recommed you have the same hairdresser do your retouching every 3 to 4 weeks. You can expect to achieve essentially the same results, and the hairdresser can recommend quality shampoos, conditioners, and equipment for you to use at home for the best overall results, over time.

Last, a genuine word to the wise: the chemicals in the retail brands of hair color vary from time to time, from the professional brands, and from each other. You can get some ODD results. The chemicals also coat the hair shaft so putting on new, different chemicals will cause anything from green or purple hair colors (unchosen) or breakage of the hair, to failure of the color to last even as long as it is supposed to last. Also, it's cheaper to have your hairdresser continue to color your hair, than to have them try to fix a bad job you've done yourself.

Help with hair dye!=]?

i have been dying my hair since the 3rd grade. [i am now in 7th]

i heard that if i keep dying my hair until im like 40, then my hair will fall out. is that true?

if it is then i have a problem. because i dont want that to happen. [of course]

my hair is naturally darkish blonde...right now its alittle longer than sholder length. i've been dying it light blonde and it looks really pretty. but for the sake of my healthy hair...i want to stop dying it. but most of my hair is blonde and about 2 inches is my natural color.

what should i do? leave it, dye it again? highlight it?

Help with hair dye!=]?

It's not that your hair will fall out when you turn 40 if you continue to color your hair. It will be very damaged though and be thinning out more than a person who has not colored their hair as much.

If you really want to color your hair,I would suggest that you just highlight your hair. Since your hair is already a blond putting in lighter blonde highlights would look just as good or even better than doing an all over color. Since you already have regrowth- I would do an allover color as close as your natural hair as possible, wait a few days then do highlights. Or go to a salon and get it done. The best thing about highlights is that the regrowth isn't as noticeable so you can get away with coloring your hair less often.

Or better yet just color your hair back to your natural color and leave it alone for a while.

I would also suggest that you invest in a good shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioning treatment and use the deep conditioner at least once a week to maintain your hair.

Hair dye disaster! help?!?

Hair dye disaster! help?!?

you can wait till it lightens on its own with a few washes but I dont suggest you dye it yourself again, you can damage your hair pretty bad if you dye it too often, try going to a proffesional and see if they can fix it for you!

Hair dye disaster! help?!?

Go to the hairdressers. They will fix you, you poor thing.

At home hair dye gone wrong.. now emo colored.. HELP!?

back in february I was curious to see what my hair would look lighter (im indian and have smooth black hair) and went to a dingy salon who highlighted my hair dirty blonde instead of the brown I asked for. I lived with it but since the roots looked horrible I got an at-home Loreal Feria kit in normal black. I did it and it turned out emo and very fake looking.

when is the earliest I can dye my hair again- and would it be wise to dye it the 'soft black' , will that even show up?

I don't want to remove this black and have the old blonde highlights show up so I'm not sure what direction to take

please help!!!

At home hair dye gone wrong.. now emo colored.. HELP!?

Old blonde highlight won't show up, it is very hard to achieve even if you try. Don't worry about that.

If your hair is now black, it will stay black unless you remove some color. It is not possible to add any color to black. At-Home kits won't do it. If you want to go lighter, and going from black to dark brown is in fact going lighter, you will have to use a weak bleach, no way around it.

Have it done professionally before you ruined your hair some more. Those drug store brands don't go well on top of one another. You might end up with funny shade of green if you don't know what you're doing. Professional salon can re-dye right away if your scalp is in good condition (not scratched that is). It's best to wait like a week, it is easier on your hair.

If you're brave, you can use Quick Blue bleach with 20 volume developer. (Developer is ranged from 10 to 30, with 30 being the strongest bleach) If you have long hair, try it on a strand of hair that's most hidden from the view, like the one at the nape of your neck. If you are satisfied with the results, you can do the full head application.

At home hair dye gone wrong.. now emo colored.. HELP!?

go back to the salon and get it fix

At home hair dye gone wrong.. now emo colored.. HELP!?

For the future, try not to go with permanent and just longer lasting. It would have been easier if you had. So, you can find a better salon (are you near a city?) or you can try dying it a dark brownish...but I'm not knowledgable with the dying bit. Your best bet is another salon. GoOD LucK!

At home hair dye gone wrong.. now emo colored.. HELP!?

welcome to the world of corrective color! The best thing to do is go into your nearest salon and seek out the advice of a chemical specialist. Sometimes going back to a

"natural color" is not as easy as it seems. It is best to get a professional opinion, for the sake and health of your hair! Good Luck!

At home hair dye gone wrong.. now emo colored.. HELP!?

Go to the hair dressers. They fix mistakes too, not just do it.

At home hair dye gone wrong.. now emo colored.. HELP!?

some at home colouring kits will turn out like, 3 shades darker than stated on the box. u wouldn't want to re-dye it again since too much dyes will damaged ur locks and make it frizzy

but if u feel like it's really that bad then wait about 1 month before re-dyeing. use shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair and intensive hair mask twice a week

and rub a bit of olive oil every night before u sleep

this time, girl, go to a salon for touch-ups or get a dye in brown cos it might turn up darker

in the mean time, embrace ur new colour.. offset the blackness by using hair accessories in dull colours.

bright colour like fuschia or white will only acentuate the blackness

When to re-dye my hair! Help!!!?

I just had my hair dyed at the salon on wednesday. I dyed it lighter but it's not as light as I wanted it to be. When should I go back and have it re-dyed. I have brown hair but I want it to be a dark blonde with yellow undertone but since I'm Asian - my natural undertone is extremely red and whenever I dye my hair, I feel like it ends up being brassy and orangey after a while. What should I do!?

When to re-dye my hair! Help!!!?

dyeing your hair is damaging, the more often you dye it the more damaging it is. you are not supposed to dye it more often than every 6 weeks but if you absolutely have to dye it sooner make sure you use a really good conditioner. if your hair is turning brassy it is because of the minerals in your water. you can buy a blue toned shampoo for blond hair and that will keep it from turning brassy. there is one by Paul Mitchell that works really well. instead of using a blond dye or a bleach use a stripper instead, it will pull the dark color out of your hair better. make sure you always use a really good shampoo and conditioner and deep condition your hair regularly, it will help keep it from getting fried like most dyed blond hair.

When to re-dye my hair! Help!!!?

Black hair dye gone wrong?

i dyed my hair today with a non permanent dye, and it was supposed to be black, but too much of the dye came out when i rinsed it out an hour later and now it is a very dark brown.

the brand i used was Schwartzkopf live

the colour it is now is pretty cool, but i just wanted to know why the black dye didn't work

Black hair dye gone wrong?

schwarzkopf live is PERMANENT, i don't understand just WHY it didn't work on your hair as black attaches itself and will develop on ANY haircolour whether previously coloured or natural. i can only think that you didn't mix the colour with the developer properly so the colour wasn't able to penetrate the hairshafts. but if you are happy with the colour you are at then i wouldn't worry.

Black hair dye gone wrong?

Depends on what hair colour you have naturally.

I, myself, am a natural brunette, and dyeing my hair didn't work properly either. You need to have dark brunette hair to get the effect on the pack, and often they have guidelines.

Black hair dye gone wrong?

Snap, that happened to my Daughter,

Black hair dye gone wrong?

Schwartzkopf live is rubbish. My mate used it to dye her hair blue it lasted for 3 washes then went a dull grey.

I used a garnier black hair dye it works much better.

Bare in mind, black hair dyes DO fade inevitably to RED/BROWN after 4/5 months so be sure to refresh your colour. You should do anyway if you dye your roots every 8 weeks.

Black hair dye gone wrong?

Considering the dye is dark and non-permenant, it was bound to lighten gradually. You may have overwashed it - did you shampoo after you rinsed? This may be one cause for it to fade immediately. Never shampoo directly after applying a rinse or semi permenant.

The other reason might be you have a light base to start with. People with mid-brown hair or darker would end up with a blacker result, whilst lighter shades may result in non-permenant dyes being translucent.

The only other reason might be that the brand itself makes weak or inferior dyes. I've never used Swartzkopf non-permenant haircolor, but if you followed the instructions on the pack, then it's the only other explanation.

Black hair dye gone wrong?

Did you follow the preparation directions perfectly? Otherwise, there's your answer. I doubt "too much of the dye came out" when you rinsed it, because no matter what colour you dye your hair, the chemicals have to be rinsed off and it WILL look like all of it is going down the drain. However, if you mixed it properly and timed it right, that won't be the case.

I'm actually surprised that after an hour it didn't take. With most dyes, if you leave it on that long, you'll pretty much fry your hair. I don't recall ever seeing the instructions indicate 1 hour.

If, in a few months, you decide the color isn't really for you I suggest going down to Sally's and picking up Loreal Color Zap. It even cuts black, and you can redye to your natural color, or any other selection, immediately.

Black hair dye gone wrong?

just so you know if you had yr hair dyed black in a salon you are stuck with that colour until it grows out or is cut.

Schwarzkopf live is a really good one.

The live products do tend to wash out quite a bit but they keep their colours quiter well.and watch out if yr going in a pool or sea.but really you need to go permanent for that kind of coverage

Black hair dye gone wrong?

hmmm

why do not u try black hennah it will last more and better for ur hair

Hair dye trauma?

yesterday i attempted to put blonde chunky skreaks in my hair, stupid me done 2 streaks too thick ,it was permenant blonde and i now want to dye it brown as it looks BAD!!! cant afford to go to hair dressers.if i was to go over it brown what would happen?would it go green or something or is it ok to dyr over bleached hair????

Hair dye trauma?

Because you have stripped your hair of its natural melanin (red tones) then you need to put some red back in before you dye it back brown or you'll end up with a khaki mess!

Hair dye trauma?

well it would damge but yeah its okay but to be sure try a dark brown

Hair dye trauma?

It is ok to dye one color over another BUT....Those thicks blonde chunks will still be visible. The hair dye won't make your hair all one color. It will just dye those areas lighter than the rest so you may still have a problem and not be happy with the result. Sorry to say that if you want it all the same so you can start over you will have to strip (bleach) it all and then redye over top of that. Now THAT will cause some serious damage!

Hair dye trauma?

I would use 10 volume peroxide ( it will deposit the color you would like to have) with the color of your choice. I don't know your underlying pigments so it could turn green.

Hair dye trauma?

No, your highlights will still show but they will be a light brown color. I suggest that you make sure the dye is permante because within a few days of putting the color on it will start to fade and reveal your blonde. Your hair is going to be very fryed so I suggest that you get a leave in conditioner and some kind of treatment for afterwords.

Hair dye trauma?

Hello there, I'm a hairdresser, best thing to do is to buy a dark golden blonde, and weave the thick highlights to break up the blonde, weave from the scalp and paint the colour over the weaved section (on a foil strip) you can use kitchen foil.. fold the foil over and check the colour after 20 mins... because its over bleach the colour will take straight away.. try to match the colour you cover the bleach with to your root colour..

I want to dye my hair blue?

is there a permanent blue color? i have to dye my hair every other day to keep it blue. i use jazzing hair dye by clairol professional.. my hair is bleached so it can get the color.. today i used it and left it on with heat and when i took a shower i didnt have the blue anymore and i followed the instructions on the bottle... can anyone give me any tips? is there any permanent blue hair dye?

I want to dye my hair blue?

Yes, there is.. If you were to go into a salon you ask them to get and use "Schwarzkof Igora: Action Paint"

Application just put it on straight all over wrap your hair with a plastic bag to protect the hair from heat under the dryer. It says to heat for half an hour but can be left as long as you want its what I use.

The trick to those colours since the vibrantly funky colours arnt permanent is wash your hair in cool water not hot for hot water opens your hair as well as the shampoo. When it comes to shampooing do it quickly the faster you can get it one all over and off the better for longer lasting colour.. then apply conditioner right away to lock in the colour..

I hope that helps.

I want to dye my hair blue?

yeah go to your hairstyist and ask for blue die

I want to dye my hair blue?

Why would you want blue hair??? UGLY! Freak.......

I want to dye my hair blue?

You'd have to talk to a colorist at a salon. I've never seen permanent blue in the stores.

I want to dye my hair blue?

i know its not permanant but kool aid powder works great

I want to dye my hair blue?

No, not permanent. Some colors are semi-permanent or demi-permanent which can last for several shampoos. When I was in hair school I had purple hair for awhile and used Paul Mitchell PM Shines. It was a vibrant purple, but if I wanted to keep it up I had to re-color it every other week or so and use the plastic covering trick the stylist above mentioned.

I wish they made a permanent purple (or blue), but the best you can get is a couple weeks with infrequent cool washings. Good luck and have fun!

I want to dye my hair blue?

go to a beauty supply store and get Manic Panic, it is not perminant but it is a semi permanant and it should last about 2 weeks without fading too much, its hard to get un natural colors to stay in your hair but i know manic panic will work better than what you are using now

I want to dye my hair blue?

special effects is supposed to be good.

i put their deep purple color in my hair yesterday and it came out very bright and was pretty. i dyed over it this morning (i didn't like how it looked on me %26amp; the streaks were done badly) so I can't tell you how long it lasts, but I hear its the longest lasting semi-permanent one out there. check out hot topic or a local punk store, they have it there.

and there's no such thing as permanent hair colors in wild colors like blue or purple or pink, they all fade hella fast. they'll say permanent but they won't be.

Wat hair dye looks best on me?? plz help!!?
