Bad hair dye job?

I've dyed my hair at home before, and it usually always turns out really nice. However this time i went from really blonde to dark brown ( cuz i just couldn't take going to the salon every few weeks to get it re-done) , well this time i guess i didn't spread the dye equally because i have a lot of spots where you can see the blonde. I was wondering if i go and re-dye those parts will the color be really different from the one that i have now? I dyed my hair on monday. I wouldnt wanna have to re-do my whole head from the roots, but im just worried if i do the bottom half where i missed some spots it will turn out a different color? please help me out i dont have enough money to the salon and keep up with my hair anymore!!!

This happened to me once. I waited too long and grew some hair then died i t and it came out different of two colors.

My suggestion is get a friend or your mom, sister or someone to help you re-dye it so they can see all over and be able to give it a real good re-dye to make sure it will get all over evenly.

That is best way for doing it at home. It's always good to have a buddy help with it.

I always had my mom to help me with it, but now that I do it on my own, I have to be extra careful, for that reason. Hopefully it'll work out.

When you go from bleaching your hair light blonde back to a darker color, it can be hard for the dye to take, so it's tricky to get right. You really need to have a professional color-correct it. If you redye it, you'll have the same problem most likely or worse. Once you get the color corrected professionally, it's permanent, so you should be able to maintain it itself, and the results will get even better as it grows out.

I have done this b4 u can just fix it up with some highlites and there u go good as new and.. u wont see any blonde or u cna get blonde highlites but then u would have to touch them up

I think you should take the extra money and go to the salon before you ruin your hair. It may turn out ok to do it the way you want to but I wouldn't take any chances. Let a professional do the job for you!!! You may spend more money in the long run trying to fix it yourself.

You shouldnt go from a light colour to a dark colour (or visa versa) in one dye session. U should have dyed it darker in stages and gone darker gradually and this would not have happened. Go ahead and dye the spots you missed but yes there IS a chance that it might not turn out 100% but thats basically the risk you have to take seeing as you dont want to spend the money and go to a salon and get the brown stripped, then re-dyed. Alternatively, you can buy a DIY haircolour stripper (Such as 'Begin-Again') from good hair supply stores, and do it yourself.

This can happen a lot of times when a person decides to go from a dark color to a light color. I would suggest washing it a couple times and then redying it with the same dye. If you would like to, concentrate more of the dye on the spots. If you still have spots that are lighter than the rest of your hair, it would be better for you (and the sake of your hair) to see professional.

Well sometimes you can just color certain spots to match the original. They do this with roots. But the trick is getting the timing down and the right amount of coverage. I would just re-dye everything just to make sure that it will turn out the same color. But if your feeling gutsy try doing the spots and see how it looks.

Please don't try and strip your own hair. Whether its available to unprofessionals for purchase or not, you see what sometimes happens with coloring at home, so why try that too? You will most likely end up with 'hot' roots and if you try and color over stripped hair your hair can grab the base color and leave you looking like a freakin' easter egg. Go to the salon, have them look at it, and give you their opinion on what to do.
