ok,so i bought this purple hair dye for my hair like a month ago........i put it in my...then after i went swimming it washed out......so i NEED to find a place to find permanet purple hair dye....please help?

Mix a hair color called Manic Panic with some peroxide. The peroxide will make the Manic Panic stay longer. Make sure you stay under the dryer about 45 minutes before rinsing it out. The heat will also make it last longer.

Well.... if you get Sparkling Burgandy henna dye it will stay for a couple months probably.... but we lightened it to hot pink and it came out right away. You could always check hot topic, too, they sometimes have hairdye.

you should get it professionally done. they use high quality dye and they will tell you how to maintain it!!!

well, most of the hair dye you buy mostly comes right off when you wash your hair. go to a hair dresser, or some hair place, and ask them if they know where to buy permanent hair dye, or if they have any. thanks:)

Unfortunately they don't make colors like purple in anything but semi-permanent dyes which will end up all over your sheets and wash out fairly easily.

I recommend Special Effects. I've had the best luck with it as far as fading goes. Did you bleach your hair first? Semi-permanent dyes stay much better if they are applied over bleached hair. But yeah, really the only way to keep those colors looking good is to re-dye often.

If you get your hair bleached first, it'll cause your dye to sink in better and you'll get a color truer to the box's claims. Hot Topic has stuff called Manic, I think, that's supposed to work really well.

Try using the brand Manic Panic, I use that and it stays in for a long time. They have many colors to chose from, and you can find the brand at any Hot Topic or Sallys Beauty Supply store.

I have the same problem. I have medium brown hair and haven't bleached it. I usually just buy a box of color that says deep burgandy or plum. It only stays intense deep purple for about 2 weeks. But it stays purple tinted for a while. I had it professionally done, but the same thing still happened. Perhaps if you switched to a shampoo that helps preserve color?
