Peroxide to dye my hair??

I have medium brown hair that goes a little past my shoulders. I want to dye my bangs blonde, but I don't want to buy hair dye. I heard that you can use peroxide to dye your hair, and I wanted to know if that would be a good idea. So, do you think I should use it?

Peroxide to dye my hair??

Noooooooo.. Do not do that. It will turn your hair orange, some spots will be darker, some will be lighter. BAD bad move. If you want your bangs blonde and refuse to go to a salon to have it done, please at LEAST go to walmart and get a little box kit of bleach for around 4-5 dollars. Very affordable, and if you do it with peroxide you wiill be spending more just to fix what has been done! =D I hope that helped! I actually have that hairstyle now %26amp; I would hate for you to jack up your hair! ;-) Good luck hun

Peroxide to dye my hair??

great question.

Peroxide to dye my hair??

NOOOOOO!!!!!

It looks great when you first do it but is very damaging to the hair even if you condition it regularly.

Peroxide to dye my hair??

No, the peroxide will strip you hair color all togther. Don't mess your hair up, go to a salon!

Peroxide to dye my hair??

It will work but not good for your hair.

Peroxide to dye my hair??

NO

Peroxide to dye my hair??

peroxide will turn it orange in such a small area. I would go to a salon to get it done correctly so you don't look like a freak.

Peroxide to dye my hair??

My fried does that to her hair now she is blonde and i think it looks very nice. Just make sure you have someone to help. Hope it goes well!

Peroxide to dye my hair??

Don't do it, you will regret it, I promise. My friend did it in High School (with peroxide and only died her bangs) and 10 years later she still is referred to as "Skunk" it truly truly does look ridiculous.

Peroxide to dye my hair??

done it. you have to go out in the sun with it sprayed on for a couple of days before it'll do anything and then it turns orange, not blonde.

Peroxide to dye my hair??

DON'T DO THAT! That's the best way to damage your hair and you risk it falling right out. Buy a hair dye, there's a reason that they're formulated in such a way by chemists who know what they're doing, but there's no way to measure how much to put in a for how long if you use straight up peroxide!

Peroxide to dye my hair??

Peroxide needs high heat or sun to bleach hair. If you have any red tones in your hair, the result will be reddish blond. Peroxide also dries the hair shaft. Your best bet would be to purchase a highlighting kit to get the results you want on your bangs. These kits usually contain a good conditioner to follow the procedure and the cost is minimal.

Peroxide to dye my hair??

My guess is that the only difference between a hair highlighting kit, and peroxide, is that the kit has directions so that you dont just burn your hair.

If you dont want to buy a kit.

Make sure you try

a couple of dilutions of the peroxide first,

Treat your hair with the most diluted first, then rinse, and see how it worked...if it didnt make it blonde enough, then try the next less diluted mix etc.

Start with 1: 1000 then go to 1: 500, 1: 100. 1: 50, 1:10, 1: 5............

Choose one amount of time for each dilution: say 10 mins.

so you dont burn your hair.

good luck

Peroxide to dye my hair??

No it will ruin your hair. Go to a good salon %26amp; ask to be a model as long as you can say what you want. You will feel 100% better.

Peroxide to dye my hair??

you don't want to do that. buy hair dye, IF you want blonde bangs and brown hair....(i don't know WHY you want that). it's going to look weird...

Peroxide to dye my hair??

I cannot say NO enough. Peroxide will break your hair right off. Then you'll need to buy Rogaine.

Peroxide to dye my hair??

Hydrogen peroxide (aka developer) alone will not lighten hair very well, because of its acidic pH level. It has to be used with an alkaline source to produce a chemical reaction with the color dye and the pigment in the hair strands to lighten hair. PS peroxide out of the medicine cabinet will do very little, it lightens very gradually so you probably wont even see a change right away or even if you do it for a few times. I suggest going to Sally's beauty supply and picking up a bleaching kit it shouldn't cost too much and it will give you a better look than brassy yellow!

Peroxide to dye my hair??

you mean like the hydrogen peroxide you buy at wal-mart in the brown bottle?? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! That will Only make your hair brittle.....then you'll have the "NO BANG LOOK"!!

Hey listen~ if you only want your bangs done.....go and find a salon or even let some a gal at a cosmetology school do them...they are supervised with instructors and they will do a good job.......my daughter is in cosmetology school, and that's how they learn ...but they are supervised.......it won't cost you much either way if you go to a salon or school just to do your bang area....and trust me....color is NOT for the beginner who knows not much about hair color!!!!!!!!!

Hope this helps!

Peroxide to dye my hair??

If you use peroxide chances are it will turn a coppery colour, not blond. I don't recommend it. Peroxide can be really hard on your hair. If you do go ahead with it make sure you condition your hair afterwords with a really good conditioner, maybe even a leave in.

Most hair bleaches will lighten your hair in the following stages: Black, brown, red, orange, yellow blond, light blond. Pure hydrogen peroxide tends to lighten hair in grey stages instead of yellows, but is harsher on your skin and hair.

Peroxide to dye my hair??

no dont do it my friend did it once and her hair started to fall out so i would advice you not to do it that way

Peroxide to dye my hair??

Peroxide turns dark hair orange.

Peroxide to dye my hair??

peroxide is only to mix with colours not to put on your hair on its own trust me im a hairdresser.dont do it

Peroxide to dye my hair??

NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

your hair is going to fall ..
