Should I dye my hair blonde?

I have very light brown hair right now and I want to dye it a very light blonde by adding blonde highlights. However, I'm afraid of the damage that chemicals in the hair dye would make my hair bad. Do you think I should dye it or not?

If you go from brown to blonde you have to get it professionally done for it to look good. Box hair dye will make your hair orange, but I say go for it, its a change, something fun and new, why not? You only live one life...

umm honestly no. dark hair is so exotic and goes great w/ bold colors. blondes look good in greens and blues, but other colors wash them out easily. not so much w/ dark hair. -ME

the way to keep it from getting damaged is to not do it more than every 3 months (if that makes sense sorry i couldnt think of a better way to word it)

chemcals do cause damage to your hair but if you take care of it you will be fine i have been a hair dresser for 15 years and high lights are great they change your look and they are nice as long as you take care of them you will have to keep up with them too they are a lot of work you will need to have them retouched like every 6 weeks and trimmed every 6 weeks and use a good conditioner to prevent further damage . try them you will enjoy them . also if you get a brassy look fromthe high lights use a purple shampoo called shimming lights it helps with blonde hair.

From personal experience...ur hair will get damaged especially if u use any type of bleach. highlights i recommend but not your full head.if you bleach all of your hair, be ready to start seeing your hair break off.

if you really really want it blonde lol but don't DYE it, get a bleach kit-the results will be much better, and and when you try to go light blonde from anything but a darker blonde, it's....just a mess. trust me lol. but as far as damage goes, just trim your ends afterwards, and you should be fine, especially since you're not doing your whole head
