I need a hair dye that lifts and deposits on dyed hair?

i dyed my hair black in december and want to go to a burgundy or deep red/brown. when going from black in the past, i had to bleach and then dye but i don't want to do that again, too much money and trouble. i'd like a hair dye that would lift the unnatural black and then deposit the burgundy in one step. also, my roots have grown out some (very light brown) and i don't want them to be a different color from the rest. the black seems to be a little faded if that makes a difference. please help, thanks.

Hi, unfortunately, once you use a permanent colour to darken your hair, it can't be lightened with anything but bleach. You would have to bleach it to lighten it, then put on another colour to get the shade you want. Please visit your hairdresser for more advice.
