Hair dye crisis, help please?

Ok, I dyed my lightish brown hair dark brown and it turned out jet black. So eventually this faded some and I got used to it. But my roots were like an inch-2 inches. So I just used loreal preferences ultra lightening ash brown. And my hair has stayed the same colour except for the roots which are now bright ginger!

I have a packet of dark brown hair dye which will make my hair go black again. Is it ok to use it straight away, right now after just using that bleaching stuff?

Your hair will most likely get fried.

I suggest getting a hairstylists help, or you'll really mess up your hair.

Hair dye crisis, help please?

first i would get this stuff...i found it at a pharmacy that strips your hair of the most recent hair dye and then use the dark brown

your hair seems messed up!

no dont use it right now you need to leave your hair for at least a week to give it a chance to replenish its self, you need to condition it well too.

You really have to be careful when you do stuff to your hair. NAMELY bleaching it because it kills your hair and eventually if you over do it, it will cause it to fall out. I wouldn't go for permenant chemical coloring, but I would try to find a vegetable based appliant so it doesn't do such a number on your hair.

No. It isnt. Trust me girl do not do it. Go to your hair dresser.

She will help.Omg Im so sorry that happened to you!!! We girls have to stick together in times like these. Hope everything goes well!!

I'd wait a little while. All this color change is tough on your hair. To hide your roots, part your hair in a zig zag and use a little brown chalk or charcoal to take the POW! out of the ginger.

Dark brown is actually number 3 on the international colour code and black is number 1. This is a common mistake people make cos basically the name is misleading, it's the number on the box that is important.

I am a hairdresser and ideally it would be best to see your hair before advised you what to put on it.

What you could do is find an area around the back of your hair and try the colour on a patch before you put it all over. Just incase it doesn't take well.

If you are in a position to do it then I would advise you to go into a slon and get it sorted out proffessionally.

this can be a hard situation.... im going to tell you how you will be able to know if you are going to loose your hair or not..... you need to take a few strands (pluck them, or cut them) put a strand at a time between your right thumb and index finger, and put the other end of the strand between your left thumb and index finger once you have done that i want you to stretch the strand (by pulling your hands away from eachother) if the hair strand breaks immediately then you need to do some conditioner treatments before you think about coloring your hair again.... if the hair stretches without breaking right away then it is probably ok for you to color your hair.... and i would apply the color to the roots first and then pull through for the last ten-twenty mins

its not good to dye your hair so many times in a row, because it will fry and be a frizz ball. If you don't want your hair black try washing hair with dawn dish soap to fade it better. Go to a professional colorist at a salon. If you dye it black again the same problem is going to happen when your hair grows out. You should've just colored the darker hair instead of the roots when you used that bleaching stuff. Or to get it kind of okay looking you can get one of those highlighting kits with the bonnets and do it because then it wouldn;t be dying your whole head again.

Oh, I just had to stop by when I read this! I know exactly how you feel, cos I did the exact same thing!! After having my hair dyed blackish brown, I decided to go for another colour just for a change. My roots were approx 5" in lenth at the time. I bought this 'dye remover' and followed the instructions to a T, or so I thought. After leaving the potion to develop for stated time, I noticed the look of horror, guilt, excitement.or just downright speechlessness.., on my families faces. I asked what was wrong and just got mouth opened glares. I ran to the mirror to find my rootes had gone the whitest of white and the rest of my hair was still as dark as ever. As it too was a Sunday evening, I had no option but to wait until monday evening to be seen by a professional hairdresser to get it rectified. I had tried numerous hairdressers before a friend recommended this one girl, and not one of them wanted to touch it and I kept getting turned away!!! The girl who did do it was very very reluctant, but eventually agreed out of pity I think!! I can laugh about it now, but trust me, I was screaming and shouting at everyone as if it was their faults!! Noone dared utter another word to me.

Take my advice... please dont try anymore dyes yourself. It is recommended that you leave the hair to settle after initial applications. Having orange roots and black ends is far better than having no hair at all (cos its fallen out) or hair so damaged you end up ginger and frizzy!!! Its your call, but I know from bitter experience what Id be doing.

I am sorry to hear about this as a stylist and a salon owner I would say you have to go to a hairdressers to have this sorted

or you will really if not already have over processed your hair

this can be easy rectified in the salon, with the proper products and experience but if you keep throwing the bleach on it, you will damage your hair to an extent it will go like cotton wool and fall out, so please please go to the hairdressers, if you can't afford it then find a modelling night a lot cheaper and 100% supervised , get your hair back to normal, and it will need looking after, no excessive heat good conditioners etc etc
