Hair dye problem? i kinda resemble a skunk :(?

my hair is natually light almost platinum blonde. ive been dying it brown/auburn for almost a year and i dunno if my hair just grows too fast but after a week i notice blonde roots so im constantly trying to hide them till i can dye it again :( im dying my hair tomorrow..its a cherry auburn color but i dont want my roots to be bright red and when i dye my hair the ends + my bangs always come out really dark..almost black :( should i leave the stuff JUST on the root first and then put it on the rest of my hair and leave it all on for a few more minutes? i need help NOW..and dont tell me to go to a salon..i gotta do it myself. i dont want kool-aid cherry red i wasnt a color that looks brown but when i go in the light its got red tones to it...any good at home box suggestions? i used to use high dimension red hot browns but i think they discontinued it :( right now i have garnier nutrisse 452- dark reddish brown (chocolate cherry) opinions on that color? i have tan skin and green eyes :)

when u do a re touch its only suppose to be on the roots. because if u apply it over and over on the ends your causing build up and the hair to be come darker. (also, the longer u leave hair done on , longer then suppose to it will become darker then u want. so u can check it but apply water and wiping with a towel and check how the color is processing and if u like what u see! ull know) ONLY THE ROOTS first and then about 10 mins before u can apply the rest to your ends to break the line from the scalp to new growth.

the color you chose should actually come out like u want it. dark, but when light hits youll see the undertones. but remember u haviing light hair and apply red its gunna take better and be more vibrant then if u had dark. when i want bright red i always LIFT my hair to a blonde and thats what happends. try it at home b ut remember when u do it at home the color will not always come out accurately!

but also! another tip! instead of going to the grocery store and getting those colors....u know if u go to a beauty supply and by the right stuff for even the same price and mix them yourself its actually better for u hair! and come out even better! u can get the color from 4 bucks and up! u just mix it and its still professional!

your welcome! you w ill have a lot of options to! also, remember to get a applicator bottle MAKE SURE WHEN U MIX u mix exactly what it says ! because that will make your color exactly how u want! so how did it come out! Report It
