Hair dye mishap:?

I bought some hair dye a couple days ago...Soft Black by Garnier 100% color to be exact. I've used this color once before and my hair looked like this:

i put the dye in, it looked pretty dark...i rinse it out, look in the mirror at my roots and they are almost BLONDE! i can't explain this other than the company put the wrong dye in the tube because everything was labeled correctly. can you explain this?! i'm so angry, i have to dye my hair again tomorrow.

Hair dye mishap:?

this is why you go to a PROFESSIONAL.

Hair dye mishap:?

If just the roots were blonde I would think you did not rub the dye in all the way. If all your hair was blonde I would blame Garnier.

Hair dye mishap:?

Is your natural hair color blonde? I think you just have hot roots. The roots of your hair are going to take longer to process, since you've colored before, the ends and midstrand are pretty porous and will take color faster. Just follow the directions for a root touch up and leave it off the ends. If you still have problems, call your local beauty school. They can do corrective color at a fraction of the cost a salon would charge you, and they're under constant supervision.

Hair dye mishap:?

I don't really know how to explain it politely, but this is why people should go to a professional when they dye their hair.
