Blonde Hair Dye Question...?

So, I am one of those blondes that was really blonde when I was young but now my hair is dark blonde to light brown. I have highlighted my hair since I was 13 and never had any problems with it falling out or being damaged....I DO have dry hair, but is something that just runs in my family...

The point is I want to start just plain Dying my hair myself to save money...

What is the best dye for that...im not so concerned about highlight cause there are so many tones in my hair that the dye wont be one color...

Im just worried about damaging it with something that has really high peroxide

ANOTHER thing is, i live in new york and there are so many stores that sell the professional mixing dyes....

ANY PROFESSIONAL HELP OUT THERE?!?!

Blonde Hair Dye Question...?

I am in the same situation as you. I have been using herbal essence for awhile now and I really have liked the blonde results. Don't be spooked if it looks like it is turning purple as it is processing, that is normal.

Blonde Hair Dye Question...?

First its bleach not hair die.

Blonde Hair Dye Question...?

la petite frost is a good choice, it will give your hair mutiple highlights, but you should have a friend to pull your hair through the frosting cap.

Blonde Hair Dye Question...?

You should go to Sally Beauty Supply and ask them. They will give you advice on their bleaches and depending on how dark your hair is you will probably have to bleach it in sessions so you don't over do it then make you get some deep conditioners

Blonde Hair Dye Question...?

I am a hairstylist of 12 years and a master educator. I DO NOT AT ALL RECOMMEND YOU DOING IT YOURSELF. OTHERWISE you will be visiting someone like me for color correction. There are NOT any over the counter colors I would ever suggest for anyones hair. They are inferior products compared to what a hairstylist uses. YOU will get more damage from the over the counter than you have ever had in the past. YOU cannot purchase the real professional lines. They are only for hairstylist. So sally's and all that stuff is not the same as we use.

Please go to a professional otherwise you will be spending tons of money on color correction. We understand the laws of color theory and chemistry. (a color specialist) Remember NOT all hairstylist just because they do color are color specialist.

Also if you are having problems with dry hair and breakage. Use a good reconstructor once a week for 30 mins. This is not a daily shampoo it is special for deep treatment.

Also NO store bought products. ONLY use what a professional will suggest for your hair type.

A good line that is for most hair types is Davines.

I know Davines educators that still work behind the chair in New York if you would like a referral.
