yeah, another question. will drug store (loreal or whatnot) hair strippers remove blonde dye from hair? also, do you think it's a good idea to put a brown semi permanent dye over blonde hair dye? my hair is originally golden brown and right now it's like a dirty blonde so should I dye over it, strip it, or just let it grow out??? btw, it's not a hideous colour, I just want it a tad darker!

Dye over it. I do it once a month with a semi-perminent color and it covered up my old intense blonde highlights well. I suggest Natural Instincts because it was made to cover up grey, which is lighter than dirty blonde, and it works well for me.

Just dye over it.

well...just to let you know...i used a permanent dye for my blonde highlights and what not. then i tried to die it back with a wash out dye that will last for about 6 weeks...but it comes out immediately cause of the old color. so use a permanent dye for the hair color!

You can condition and use a color that has no peroxide.
There will be one bootle of colr and you want mix anything.
That means it temporary color.Condition and get cuts before you add any more chemicals to your hair. Then maybe try a Highlight with light blond shades...At the Hair Salon.

just dye over top of it. if you are going darker you can just dye overtop of the ligth color but then if you decide you wanna go back lighter you can't just dye back over it because it probably wont turn out

Hair strippers are not good to use unless a professional is applying it. This can damage you hair and you want to change your hair color not the cut. With that being said it is easier to dye a darker color over a lighter color and you can't actually strip blonde hair only dark hair so it should be fine to color over the light hair. Good Luck!

Well in my experience, if you were to buy a brown hair color, and you having different shades of bonde in your hair, the result will most likely be different shades of brown. Darker browns and lighter browns. Still will be pretty if that's what you want. I would go for loreal brands.

It would be safer to just put a semi-permanent color over the blond than to strip it and then color again. Just be very careful in chosing the darker color and pay attention to whether it's a neutral, red, or ash base. The safest thing to do is get a free consultation with a professional hair colorist before you do anything. Good luck.
