what color dye do you want???

i'm also allergic to ALOT of hair dyes mostly the dark ones...

i'm a hairdresser so i have to watch what i use on other people aswell

she would be having a bad dermatitis reaction to them as i do..

i end up with red lumps all over my body..

its quite grose.

i suggest a natural hair color like herbatint you can get it from most heath food shops.

its ammonia free and doesnt have any harsh chemicals.

i find its the only one i can use on myself.

its not always the ammonia that causes the reactions its a chemical in the dye called dihydroxynaphthalene or diaminoanisol

just try to avoid them as much as possible as well as ammonia...

i really suggest the herbatint though...

its your best chance as not causing an alergic reaction.

If your Mom feel like a change and is scared of trying any more products the only thing I can recomend is to continue touching up her root with the ussual colour and treat herself to a few (around 10-15) Foil Highlights just on the top area It breaks the solid colour and the best part is that it does not touch the scalp which means no more painfull test of what work or not. If the colour is dark ask for a low light .....2-3 shades lighter then what the hair is, is always a safe and natural option. She should then only do her (tinted) roots every 4 weeks and have the roots (high lights) re-done every second time she does her tint to save a bit of money. Good Luck
