Hair Dye Help Please :]?

I just bought Beyond The Zone hair dye in Not So Shy Violet. I have dark brown hair and I bleached it twice with a bleaching kit I bought at Sally's (I forgot what the kit was called). I followed all the directions on both products, the bleach worked, but the hair dye didn't. The second that I washed my hair after applying the dye the color came out. What am I doing wrong?

By the way, this is the first time that I have ever dyed my hair.

Did the dye come with a developer or did you have to buy the developer seperately? Maybe you used the wrong kind or something. See if you can get a refund and try again. I think that manic Panic works really well on bleached hair. It washes out with each shampoo though, so you'll have to re-apply every week or 2.

How long did you wait between the two? If the bleach wasn't completely out of your hair, it would've pulled the dye out.

Did the bleach product tell you to bleach your hair? I doubt it. Stop messiing with your hair or it's going to fall out.

To get this fixed.. go to a hairdresser and tell them exactly what you did.

Hmm, it almost sounds like you bought a temporary color. Nothing else would have completley come out. And when your hair is colored, its better not to shampoo it for a day or two afterward anyway. Cool water is also better for that, think about it like washing your clothes, Hotter water makes it fade quicker.
