Hair dye bleeding?

i recently dyed my hair pure black (l'oreal feria) for prep as i am getting my hair partially blue in afew weeks. however the dye has been "bleeding" every time i rinse my hair. i did everything the directions said and i didn't shampoo or condition it (except with what came in the box) for three days.

the color isn't fading at all, but it's becoming a pain because i can't use any towels or else my mom will throw a fit. i've dyed my hair several times this year, and someone suggested that that may be why it won't hold the dye, but i haven't dyed my hair for a while (maybe a month %26amp; a half), so i don't know why it would do this.

it's never given me trouble before, even with a shorter time period between dye jobs, except for the one other time when i did it fuschia. any suggestions? thanks!!!

PS my friend pulled out a *gigantic* chunk of hair which is now noticeable unless i cover it. it's never come out like this before, so could this be a result of dye even if i used no ammonia?

Hair dye bleeding?

oh wow, well um... go to a hairdresser! and ask them for some extra advice. how long ago did you dye it? because i just dyed my hair a blackish color too and it is still running a little. it is running because it is wet. stay away from the towels and let it air dry. try a different product. next time you dye your hair you might want to a professional (no offense lol) get revenge on your friend!! muaahahahaa. lol well how hard did your friend pull your hair out? that matters. it's just hair it'll grow back unless you're like 50 or something. try a shampoo that will make the dye last longer, that might help it not run. best of luck to ya mate =) omg and you dyed your hair fushia!!! hah! that's awsome

Hair dye bleeding?

its normal i think

because its a dark color

it will bleed more

I personally dont like feria. It does bleed and changes color over time on my hair. You may have not rinsed your hair well enough after the coloring. Ok hair chunks are a reaction to the coloring dont use this manufacture again. It does tell you that you need to do a allergy test prior to using each time.

Well first I must say that I use to use Garnier Fructis and it started to make my hair fall out in chunks so that might be why. I switched to Pantene Pro-V for extremely damaged hair and it works wonders for me. I think that your hair is not holding color because you've colored it way too many times, it might bleed for a while and fade later on but there really is nothing you can do about it right now. I think you should give your hair a break before adding any more color, if you add blue now it will just wash out most likely.
