Remove hair dye from fabric?

Hi, I know this question has been asked before but I'm hoping for a new and feasible answer from someone who might know...PLEASE...how do I get brown hair dye out of my brand new expensive fabric shower curtain?? I just moved and bought matching shower and window curtains, so proud of them, and I splashed my hair dye on it yeserday without realizing it!!! It's dried and now I saw it today, and I have to get it out! It's simply awful. Please give me some realistic answers that will work!! Thank you so much.

Remove hair dye from fabric?

Clorox toilet bowl cleaner cautiously dribbled exactly on the spot is what I use when I get color on my clothes at work. It needs to be rinsed off right away. Reapply if needed but don't let is set there for more than a few seconds or it will ruin the item and you'll have a new tie died curtain.

And yes it really works....you just have to be real careful not to take out the color from the item.

Remove hair dye from fabric?

That is a tough one, I too have stained many a things coloring my hair. Well depending on the color fabric and texture...trying using SHOUT or Spray and Wash or OXY.

Hope it helps.

White Hair Dye?

Does anybody know where I can purchase white hair dye and/or which brand does it (eg. Loreal etc..) I would usually use Schwarzkopf hair dyes because they always give me the disered look but they dont do white :(. anybody know which UK store i could find it in? (eg. Boots or a Pharmacy?)

White Hair Dye?

There is no WHITE HAIR DYE...I mean you can buy that wash out spray that just leaves a coating of white on your, but it'll wash out as soon as you shower.

If you want white white hair you're going to have to bleach it. And bleaching hair that much is very damaging. It's off the charts and it will cause breakage on the hair.

But if you really want it then that's what you are going to have to do.

good luck with everything bro = )

White Hair Dye?

You don't keep bleaching it, you bleach it to yellow and then cancel out the yellow with violet toner to create the white. Report It

White Hair Dye?

yeah that sounds sexy im a girl

White Hair Dye?

People get white hair by bleaching it past anything the manufacturer would recommend. I used to work at Clairol, and the two stages we'd recommend was yellow like the outside of a banana, or pale yellow, like the inside. (Which you went for depended on which toner you were planning to put on top of the hair to get a more natural shade. If you don't want a natural shade, that's a whole other thing.) I suspect even those shades were pretty hard on the hair, and white would pretty much weaken the hair strands by taking out all the pigment. If you go ahead, don't do any other process on your hair (straightening or curling via chemicals) or you'll probably fry your hair. If you want to go darker again, don't just pop a darker dye over your hair as is, or you'll get a color not found in nature. (And not a good one.) Call the toll-free consumer hotline of the brand you use, if there is one. You might want to call a hotline before you bleach to white, but they might advise you not to.

Good luck!

White Hair Dye?

White huh? Well, you can't actually dye your hair white. You can only bleach it out so much it turns white. As for bleaching your hair white I would have a professional do it or else it might turn a nasty yellow or your hair might even fall out.

White Hair Dye?

As others have said, you will definately have to bleach your hair and then add a tint if that is what you prefer.

It is harder to bleach red hair than dark hair and dark hair should be bleached in stages to avoid damaging the hair as much as possible. Dark hair goes through stages with repeated bleaching. Black hair initially becomes red, then orange followed by yellow and finally white.

Bleached hair has a yellow tinge to it because of the natural structure of hair, which is mainly a-keratin which is naturally a pale yellow.

The more frequently bleach is applied, the drier hair becomes, moisturising hair after bleaching is a must.

That is the technical bit. It depends a lot on the effect you are looking for in your hair, whether a color tint would be better, or leaving your hair stripped provides the effect you are after.

The darkness of your hair will dictate the strength of solution you need to strip your hair back to white.

White Hair Dye?

Hey man i am bleaching my hair coz i also want white hair, im black and obvcourse have black hair, im on my 6th bleach and hair is still on my scalp lol, its a very yellow pale color at the mo and some of the hair is looking quite white. i think ill need about 2/3 more bleaches then ill be able to tone it white.

but to answer your question what you have to do is get any bleach prolly about 30vol will be okay. bleach your hair and wait about 2-3 days be4 u bleach it again. during those 2-3 days u will need to condition you hair like twice a day to keep you hair strong.

Im using Aussie 3minute miracle and it works pretty good, the conditioner in the bleaching kit seem to work pretty good as well.

Once you get to the stage where you hair looks like a rly rly rly pale yellow colour i mean REALLY pale yellow you can use a white toner, i have bought Manic Panic virgin snow toner and it seems to work for other people. this shop sells it

http://punkrockshop.co.uk/

hopefully the toner will work. Ill post another comment by wed i think should have it white ( i hope ) bye then.

You also need a cap/hat or alot of balls, coz if you hair is black the 1st bleach will make it a horrible ginger color, dont be frightened by that it will get more lighter and yellowy with each bleach, so if your the kinda person who does not like people making fun at you, wear a hat when you are out and about.

Oh yeah always do the strand test and all that **** to make sure you are not allegic to the hair dye.

Best hair dye in a box?

my hair is a naturally a really ugly orange-ish yellow-ish blonde with darkish golden brown underneath and i want to dye it dark brown. so can someone tell me a little about hair dye from the box and what the best brand is?

Best hair dye in a box?

IF YOU WANT TO GET RID OF THE ORANGE, USE AN ASH BASED BROWN. CLAIROL HYDRIENCE IS AN EXCELLENT HAIR DYE. IT MOISTURIZES AND DOESN'T LEAVE YOUR HAIR FEELING LIKE STRAW AS SOME OF THE OTHER HAIR PRODUCTS DO ESPECIALLY IF YOUR HAIR IS NORMAL TO DRY. JUST FOLLOW ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER AND IT SHOULD TURN OUT FINE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PRODUCT, CLAIROL HAS A NUMBER YOU CAN CALL TO TALK TO A PROFESSIONAL ABOUT ANY CONCERNS YOU MIGHT HAVE.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Back in high school this girl mixed Kool-Aide and Shampoo to dye her hair. It came out really good (it lasted 2 months). I just want to know if it is safe, can it damage your hair? Is there certain time between dyes that you should wait like with other hair dyes?

Curious.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Actually Kool-aid is a stain rather than a chemical. You can put it in as often as you like, it all depends on how vibrant you want your color.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Well it was in Cosmo this month, so I would assume its safe, it stains the counters really good *lol* and your hands.

If you have light hair, go for it, but dont expect purple to show up in brown hair.

Good luck!

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Considering people drink the stuff, I don't think it will be any more harmful than ingesting it. The way I see it, the products we use to color our hair has chemicals in it that do damage hair for the most part. We also can't drink it, much less the smell of it.

Personally, I'd think the koolaide would be much safer.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

I would try Kool-Aid and conditioner, so your deep-conditioning your hair, just to be safe! I dont think it could harm though

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Well you can always smell Kool aid. i do not think that t is a good thing to do because it might not work out on your hair too good.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

Kool-aid works! it really does you might not trust it but it really does work!it wont damage your hair just dont keep it in for too long...

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

strawberry shortcake huckle berry fin. I used it once i still have the best hair in town.

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

well i dont see a problem with it but what flavor do u use fruit punch ? im seriose

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

I don't think it is harmful to your hair. Just be sure to wear gloves, and put some lotion on your hairline, ears, etc to keep them from staining. I knew this girl who dyed her hair with kool-aide. Along with her hair, her hands, forehead, and ears were dyed as well!!! Also, you need to have light colored hair for this to turn out. Good luck!

Kool-Aide As Hair Dye??? Is it a good idea....?

omg that'sz soo kool but doesn't kool-aid only have like green purple blue red orange? that must of been one extravagant hair do that girl had!

Why wont my hair dye ??

i dyed my hair 4months ago wit clairol balsam hair color and it was the blackest black they had and well today i tried to dye it a light brown (using the same hair color company) and it wouldnt die it stayed black and the only thing that dyed was the roots and i look stupid with my roots light redish brown and the rest black what did i do wrong if i followed the directions ... ????

Why wont my hair dye ??

Dye will NOT lighten your hair color! You must strip the color out of your hair and then re-dye it.

You will either have to go to the salon and have them fix it for you or just wait until it grows out (which will probably take a year or two).

Stop trying to dye it... the more dye you add to your hair, the harder the color will be to strip out.

I suggest going to a reliable salon asap and asking for a consultation for corrective coloring. Ask about the price, what condition you expect your hair to be in after the treatment, and what you can do to keep your hair healthy in the future.

Why wont my hair dye ??

Well, you hold the direrctions, unless you pay some one to do it, you have to read the back of the dye box sister

Why wont my hair dye ??

maybe your the black is too strong to dye a lighter color

Why wont my hair dye ??

well its really hard to COLOR not dye u dye a egg you color your hair anyways its really hard to take hair color from a black to a red it really dont work. u need to get it prof. done if u did it black they might pending on ur natural hair color they might have to strip the color out which is really bad for hair well good luck

Why wont my hair dye ??

i did this years ago with the same clairol balsam and it took over 2 years for it to grow out.I was a blonde and dyed it the darkest black. you can either wait til it grows out or talk to a hairdresser and ask them what the safest thing for your hair would be dying it too many times too close together can ruin your hair. so ask a professional. Ive done this and I regretted it. it eventually grew out and went back to my normal hair color but it was a shade darker, seems the more you dye youre hair the darker it gets.

Why wont my hair dye ??

color won't remove darker color you need to remove dark color first and removers can be veryyyyy damaging. i strongly recommend you go to a salon to get this done, these are the kinds of things they went to school for. hope this helped

Pink hair dye ?

i am going to dye part of my hair pink (like small streaks underneath the layers) and i was wondering where you can get it from ... i live in the UK

also my hair colour is mid brown at the moment and i was planning to dye it darker ... do you think it would look good with blonde and pink streaks in it ?

Pink hair dye ?

Before I had my bob done I had waist-length (permanent-died) brown hair. I used a really good hot pink hair dye which I got in superdrugs. It was 'demi-permanent' but unfortunately I've forgotten what brand it was- but it's the only pink one that superdrugs sell. Odly only one out of the four superdrugs in the towns near me stocks it :|

Anyway it had the ability to be added to light hair without bleaching it and dark hair- with bleaching it. It worked really well, so my advice is- check out superdrugs =)

And yes, blonde and pink would look good- if placed correctly and providing the blonde isn't yellow.

Best of luck, Princess Lola x

Pink hair dye ?

you get only get those cool colours done at the salon.. they don't have any at-home products for pink. And first, they bleach your hair so that the pink will show up, so it damages your hair A LOT. I suggest you get hair extensions again... you can either get the ones they clip on OR glue.. they look better too!

Pink hair dye ?

cute! I would first bleach it before you dye it pink. but check some salons first i know here (US) they have strands of hair you can clip in, salons only, they teach you everything and they are only like 10 bucks, or whatever, for a strand. They have every color in the rainbow.

They look great, i have dark brown ones in my blonde hair.

Pink hair dye ?

you should go to www.hottopic.com. They have every color of hair dye including pink and they also have bleach kits if you want it to be brighter. Pink is one of those colors that will work with most hair colors. With blonde hair the only worry would be that it would look kinda barbie, but with a good cut it could look fabulous!

Pink hair dye ?

hotpink and light blond is nice you are the 2 persons queston cus i sighned up tonight im 10 and a half and i need points and go for it its cute.

Pink hair dye ?

I dyed my entire hair pink a couple of years ago. I tried two different dyes, the first one, manic panic, didn't take well. It wouldn't dye my roots for some reason. The second dye, Special Effects, worked AMAZINGLY!!! I definitely suggest it to anyone who doesn't want the ugly fade out. It's semi-perm but it stayed in my hair for 6 months before I had to dye my hair back to blonde to get it out. And when it did fade, like all dyes, it faded to a nice lighter pink.

Right after I dyed it: http://photos-953.ll.facebook.com/photos...

A few months after: http://photos-c.ak.facebook.com/photos-a...

It's a horrible picture but it shows the color well.

Dye it a shade or two darker than you want because it will lighten a bit after a week or two. Also, it bleeds out in the shower, not on your clothes. So your shower might look a little pinkish for a while.

I think blonde and pink streaks look really good with black or dark brown hair, especially if it's the layer underneath.

Here are some links:

Special Effects page w/ color info (UK site): http://www.specialeffectshairdye.co.uk/s...

They also have tips and info if you need it on how to use the dye. Very useful. Since I'm naturally blonde, I don't know if you'll need to bleach it but my guess is yes.
