ok, so, last summer I dyed half my hair blue, and it looked great, but faded fast cause i didn't bleach properly, and once i ran out of dye, i dyed it back to normal with Garnier golden honey brown i think, and it matched perfectly, but faded to blonde very fast. Now im planing to dye my hair either very dark brown, or black. My question is what brand of permanent hair dye (from a box) will last longest, and what shampoo %26amp; stuff can i use to keep the color in?
I need help keeping dye in my hair? use biolage colorthearapie as a shampoo and conditioner.. it helps prevent color from fading
I need help keeping dye in my hair? i prefer loreal hair color, but get the most expensive package, i forgot the name but my sister had wonderful results and use pantene expressions to keep your color in
I need help keeping dye in my hair? When I used boxed hair dye, I'd get Herbal Essences, because it usually [if not always] became the exact color on the box. For shampoos, I'd go with Pantene Pro-V, I believe they have the color treated shampoo and conditioner.
If you also have a Sally Beauty Supply in your area, go there to get color treatments and stuff, it'll help keep your hair soft, and usually the girls there can help you find something to help keep the color radiant.
I need help keeping dye in my hair? Go to a beauty supply or hair salon and get shampoo formulated especially for color treated hair. but keep in mind, if you wash your hair every day it will fade faster than if you wash it every other day.
Since it sounds like you have lightened your hair and added color to it, it will fade that much faster. When you lighten your hair, the hair is much more porous and therefore the color will fade faster. It would be best if you avoided washing your hair everyday.
Most of your store bought colors will not last as long as color that you would have done in a salon since the peroxide that comes with the store bought color is usually not of the same strength that you would get in the salon. You can go to a beauty supply. However, many beauty supply's require you to be licensed. Although, you may try a Sally Beauty Supply if there is one in your area. They are not usually very diligent about checking licenses.
Good Luck.
